Works on Late 2011 MacBook

If you are looking around I would suggest buying a backup as these chargers have terrible wiring (this is my third one). I was pretty annoyed that the salesperson couldn't tell me if this was the right one (for the late 2011), and they were working in the Apple department...

Replacement adapter for 2006 MacBook

It supplies power from an outlet as well as charges the battery. The magnetic DC connector is shaped differently than the original adapter. It works best with the cord facing the back of the MacBook. When it was tried the other way it was more difficult to grasp and remove. Be aware that this adapter is different than the adapter on the new MacBook Air. The MacBook Air adapter will not work on older models.
