Had to replace, to use my computer. Expensive and frustrating!

Ridiculous how much this charger costs and the fact of how you have to wind it up puts stress on it to bend and wear it out

These do not last long and are expensive to replace.

The only thing this charger lacks is cord strength

As with most Apple products it: -- Does the absolute minimum job it can while still being able to say it does the job (i.e., it's underpowered and so gets very hot as a result) -- Chooses form over function -- Is overpriced.

This Apple product has a very thin cord and fails quite quickly, not to mention being top dollar; forget it if you have pets in the house. I have had to replace more than once and now wrap these in cord guard materials to prolong their life.

Use a surge protector with all your electronics!!!

These work well, if babied. This is the 2nd replacement, as the cord splits and frays under normal use. I'm careful with them, but the rest of the family isn't. Unfortunately, there's no generic option.

My Apple Chargers have been better than knock off chargers on Amazon, but all in all chargers are not made to last more than a few years. Irritating, but necessary, wish a 3rd party would make a more durable charger.

It's not like you have a choice here. Your old one probably started out not charging because some of the pins were sticking and you heard a little buzzing noise. Contact cleaner and some gun oil on the base of the pins will help.

Great fit to my 2013 laptop after not finding my charger

Adapters, like these, have been around a long time and they've also never been improved on. Thin wires, weak connections, low resistance to the heat they produce, requiring kid-glove handling with no option for repair. You want the product it powers, so you're stuck with the junk that supports it.

Apple is making a boatload of money from these charging cords. We buy them about every two months because they never work for long. This one that I bought worked twice. Is anyone making a cord that actually works?

My replacement charger works great as well as it came with an extra adapter cord.

This cord needs to be more effective. I had to return the product due to a shortage in the cord. I would recommend that Apple make more better cords for Macbook products.
