My laptop is 6 years old and I needed a new charger. Got a good deal on an open box and know it's the real deal.

This is a great replacement for my broken laptop charger.

Well the original one that came with my Apple laptop deteriorated to the point it no longer charged my laptop within 3 years of purchase. Therefore, it was imperative for me to get this and so far so good. I would imagine that if it was the same poor engineering that caused the first charger to fail it would also cause the same issues to this one down the road. But this is the price you pay to have pretty laptops: Chargers whose plastics gets ripped from the wires.

Always buy the certified apple products, you never know the quality of the generic items and this one did not disappoint.

It is what it is, a replacement power chord. Works just like the one that came with the computer.

I know it may sound expensive (mostly when associated to an old Mac), however, there's no other adapter out there that can provide the reliability and piece of mind of this adapter. I saw other options for less than $20 that praised the price but then you find horror stories about the adapter blown up. I'd rather be safe than sorry, mostly when used internationally in 120 and 240v regions

My old adaptor cracked since I dropped it but happy to know I was able to locate one at bestbuy for a reasonable price

It works. It s replacement. I don't know why they have to be so expensive and wear out in the same location. And why does it get hot sometimes?
