First of all it is a USB C port charger so you need an extra adapter that supports 15v-20v USB-C charger, if you don't have you have to buy that one separately. Secondly, this charger works great if you are not using any case. Suppose if you are using some case, you have to check whether it will support magsafe or not. To be frank, it is not needed if you hold a normal Apple Iphone charger, there is no need.

I have purchased a few of these to place around the house and they have held up for 2+ years compared to less than a year for off brand.
