    To my surprise, this one needs another real charger to charge. This one can not plug into the wall directly.

    Not much to say other than it’s another charger from Apple. Build quality isn’t great, but that’s probably by design. This is not a cable you’ll want to bring with you, because it simply won’t hold up to regular travel. Means to an end, nothing more.
