Got this for my niece, who keeps killing Lightning cables by falling asleep in the recliner while holding her phone when it's plugged-in. (Put too much force on the magsafe charger and it just pops off of the phone, undamaged.) As with most official Apple products, it is more expensive than the off-brand options. But if you catch it on sale, it's a decent deal.
