I purchased the iPad pro with the Apple Pencil for my teenage daughter who is a student of art and illustration. I have compared reviews of Wacom tablets and the IPad pro with the Apple Pencil as a drawing tablet and my conclusion is the Apple Pencil is far superior to other drawing tablets. The way that the Apple Pencil can handle how the user tilt the pencil have not been done with other tablets. This is a far better drawing tools. So if you want a table to draw and also can do the things that a laptop can do, go with the iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil.

As someone that's completely new to Apple products in general, setting up to use the pencil was the easiest thing I have done with their products. Great purchase and getting great use out of it, specially for a brand new user!

    Great stylus - almost perfect.

This writing stylus is a great addition to the iPad Pro. I got it to go with my 12.9 and for a graphic designer or artist this is a necessity. I'd rate this at 4.5 out of 5. The feel is great. I've been using Wacom stylus and tablets for many years. The feel of this is even smoother. Of course, the capabilities need to be exploited by the apps to really make the pen shine. Adobe has quite a few free apps for free. The only things that keep this from being a 5 star item is: 1) no place to store the cap when recharging, 2) no place to put the USB cable connector when not charging the pen via a cable and 3) no clip to hold the pen in your pocket when not in use. These are trivial compared to the advantages the pen offers, but they are little details that Apple didn't take into consideration..

This pencil is so accurate. No lag. The only thing is you gotta get use to it. But after a while you'll start writing as if it was on paper.

The Apple Pencil is actually the main reason i got the iPad Pro. I was content with my IPad Air, but when Best Buy was offering a special I jumped at the chance to be able to use the Apple Pencil. I had been using pressure sensitive styli with my iPad Air, but they only recently got to be a little better than feeling like you're using a crayon. In fact the best ones are no match for the Apple Pencil. Perhaps they will improve as they adapt to the iPad Pro technology but right now the Apple Pencil may cause me to forget I even have a Wacom Cintiq tablet.

The original Apple Pencil is still a great product is a bit pricey. The price should have been dropped by now, but that's apple for you. Its a no brainer if you own any of the iPads that support this stylus. If you have the pro, you obviously will want to go for the latest model. This is still a great piece of tech and you should get it if you want to do design work or note taking on your iPad Air, 7th gen iPad or current gen iPad mini.

This is my first time digital drawing, and the pressure sensitivity is really wonderful and very useful. As far as I can tell the color is distributed well and the pixels align almost perfectly with the pen, so there is no lag. The only inconvenience is that when you charge it, it becomes a bit awkward to use the actual iPad, but if you charge the pen at night that will not be a problem. Otherwise I highly recommend this product if you want a portable and very functional digital drawing pen.
