I've never tried other active styluses, but the Apple Pencil works really great! It's fun to use, and I love basically always having a pen and paper handy anywhere I have my iPad. I've never been one to draw much because I'm terrible at it, but recently I found myself doodling a bit with it, and it's really nice since you can easily backup any mistakes as opposed to still leaving marks on paper with an eraser.

The precision and ease of use of the Apple Pencil is remarkable!! Battery life and charge speed is amazing as well.

All in all is a good product. It does what it is supposed to do. The accuracy of it on the tablet is almost like the real thing. Taking notes is pretty much like using paper. A couple of things I think could be better.... 1. A clip or something to keep in your shirt pocket or a case. I used a regular pencil clip and works just fine but they should have thought of that. The other is the charging adapter.... Why not make it female so you don't need another little thing that will eventually gets lost?

I love my Apple Pencil. It works just how you would imagine it to. I use it to take notes and draw. The only negative to this pencil is I don’t like how it charges/ by plugging it in to your iPad (although you can charge it with a cord too). It sticks out of the iPad like a sword and I’m afraid it will get bumped and break off. If you have a newer compatible iPad, I would check out the new Apple Pencil! I would if I could!!

I have a 12 inch iPad Pro and bought this Pencil in order to write longhand on it and to draw diagrams to help my son with his math homework. It works great with the iPad Pro, although the battery life is not the greatest, and you end up plugging it into the charging port of the iPad itself to recharge. You can also charge it via an adapter that comes included and attaches to an external power adapter. If you can get for less than full price, it's worth it.
