I'm not an artist but it seems extremely precise to the touch. Battery like is OK but convenient to charge from the lightning port. Struggling to find a use. The size makes it a little hard to tote around.

The Apple pencil works great! It is smooth and no lag. As a college student, this works great for taking notes.

I bought this for my 14 year old daughter. She using the Apple Pencil with her iPad for school assignments and various apps that incorporate the Apple Pencil. Great investment and she has nothing but raved over the functionality it brings to her assignments from school.

The first time I've ever used a pen for iPad was in Apple Store where I tried the Apple Pencil, it worked well but I couldn't try as much as I wanted because of the limitation of displaying iPad Pro. Yet it was too expensive for me. Then BestBuy offered the discount on 3 apple accessaries. Woo hoo! Best chance for me to buy it. So I did! I use it to take notes with GoodNotes, occasionally draw some doodles with Sketches Pro. Pros: I didn't expect it has such a low latency. Even lower than the pen on my ThinkPad X220 which has a wacom touch screen! Cons: The charging position on iPad is very awkward. Bluetooth connection fails after turning off/on airplane mode on iPad. Pen body is too slippery to grab.

this pencil works well for my daughter, but the cap go lost way to easily along with the cables and adapter to charge the pencil

Sure what it needs to. No reason to complain. It’s easy to use and holds a good charge.

If you have the IPad Pro...this is the best stylus to use. Makes your strokes precise...makes everything easier

There was no question I was going to order this Apple Pencil, as I wanted it when I had my iPad 3. I read about 50 reviews, and didn't read anything that would stop me from its purchase. They do need to offer better instructions on how to use the darn thing if we are going to shell out that much money for a stylus. it's smooth to the touch, but a pencil gripper would help. A pen clip would also help as I could then put it on the inside of my purse without fear of losing it. As far as productive working apps, there should be more. I did finally find one I like, but I had to delete a bunch and download a bunch before that happened. I finally paid for one. It boils down to practice practice practice with this pencil.

I am surprised at how much the pencil enhances your use of the iPad. Connects to the iPad the second you plug it in using the same port you use to charge the iPad. Really responsive. Works great with the notes app and even just tapping around the iPad screen. There are lots of other apps out there for drawing, note taking and writing. I got this one as an open box deal and it works just like new. Very happy with it.

If you’re investing in the iPad Pro, you cannot afford NOT to get this pencil. It’s a game changer and a life changer. If you get the Logitech Keyboard Case, it has a flap for you to slide the $100 pencil into it, so that it doesn’t get lost. Too bad it’s not included for the same price as the iPad Pro, but that goes against everything Apple stands for. It’s smooth and it really is like using a pencil, but to the n’th degree. Buy it, you won’t regret it.

Very happy with the pencil. It works very well and allows me to sketch and take hand written notes with ease. Surprised with how long it holds charge. Highly recommend it along with the keyboard

My daughter loves her Apple Pencil. She uses ProCreate a lot on her ipad and she loves having this to work with it. I almost bought her a cheap one on Amazon but the reviews swayed me and I'm glad I spent slightly more for the real deal. Even being an older generation model, it works great and she has zero complaints with it.

If your a note taker like myself the apple pencil will come in handy. The second version is tons better so buy that one instead unless you want to save a few dollars with this one

This pencil is functional and useful for marking, drawing, and painting. What a useful device. Only negative I see is it is perfectly round and rolls away too easily. Needs one flat spot.
