An excellent pencil/stylus for drawing, painting, note taking, etc. works well and intuitive, but it is expensive. Make sure your usage justifies the cost.

I have tried many stylus for the iPad and have been underwhelmed by all of them. The Apple pencil has the best stylus I have ever used for writing and drawing. I have used a Wacom Cintiq in a professional environment and in my opinion the Apple Pencil feels better, has better latency, and is a better tool for artist. I wish it was supported by all the new Apple iOS devices and not just iPad Pro.

Battery life decent Ease of handwritten notes with app install

I had a bit of trouble when I first started using it when the tip came unscrewed just a little bit and it wouldn’t write, but after a quick Google search I figured out what the problem was and I haven’t had any problems since! It holds a charge longer than I thought it would.

So functional for writing as well use as a stylus. Easy to connect great battery

wanted this as much just to try it as anything, but I have to admit the tip of my finger gets tired of tapping on the ipad for games and other things. Disappointed that my pretty new ipad pro was not the compatible with the newest version of the apple pencil, but the first generation seems to do the job, once I got the tip to stay properly seated, figured out how to tell if it is charged, etc. Like everything apple, there really are no instructions included, but you can find what you need to know if you search the internet.

It's very accurate and has great pressure and tilt sensors. I'm surprised at how good it is! Great for notes for school.

Writing is awesome with this device. Would be perfect if Apple would make the top an eraser. Also, there must be motion detection in the pencil that turns on Bluetooth. To increase battery life in standby, keep the pencil stationary since movement keeps Bluetooth on and drains the battery faster. Not a huge issue since the battery charges very quickly when plugged into the iPad.

Using this with a drawing program like Procreate unlocks the full potential of the app. The input works very well regardless of the tilt, and the battery lasts quite a while. I like that it recharges via the iPad (even if it sticks out all wonky, it's only for a few minutes).

Apple design is not on the same level any more. Charging through the lightning port is obnoxious looking. The battery lasts awhile, so you can avoid that. It would have been nice to have an eraser function on the end like the surface pen. Writing on the 10.5 pro is very fluid. It is weird not having friction like normal writing, but you get used to it. Also, the pen is slightly heavy at first, but it feels great once you write a lot. The 4 stars is due to the charging through the lightning port. I think that looks stupid and is not really the most practical.

A must for a creative person. Adds another dimension to iPad use. Charges fast.

If you own either iPad Pro and don't have a pen your missing out. This thing is responsive and feels really good. If your thinking about buying it you should.
