Apple Pencil
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Daughter is very artistic loves this combined with her iPad. To be fair, I think they’re a little expensive for what they are. However, they are very well made

Apple Pen - Too expensive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Too Expensive. Should be included with iPad Pro. Works great tho!

Cumbersome but functional
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was expecting more, but it does work. It only works with the iPad Pro. Instructions for getting it up and running were quite disappointing. It required a lot of trial and error, which I was not anticipating. An easy way to pair it with the iPad is to plug it in the charging slot of the iPad. There is a cap for the back/top of the pencil as well as a connector for attaching to a power supply if needed. That means you may be carrying around one or the other of those small components so you will have them when you need them. (Read: don't lose them). Smile as you try to get the cap off the back of the pencil. Since there are no instructions, you might assume that the cap screws on and off. It does not. You just push it on and pull it off (and hope that this holds for a long time before the friction factor dissipates). There is a separately sold cap for the tip or stylus of the pencil, as well as replacement tips. Some applications allow you to switch the stylus from broad to fine or brush-like. I expect its functionality will increase as I get used to it. It is certainly more accurate than poking a finger at the screen. It is not as easy as working with a retractable pen on paper. If you can accept the above, then I recommend it.

A necessary device for an iPad
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I bought my iPad, I didn't see to necessary the Apple Pencil. However, when I was working with it, I saw many tip about how to use an Apple Pencil. I tried and It's true. Then I bought one because it helps me with many tasks

Pen is accurate
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using the apple pen since I bought the iPad Pro 12.9 on Black Friday. I'm still working on drawing on the iPad but I find the pen to be very accurate when drawing lines and writing. Maybe would be cool if the other end was like an eraser. Overall a pleasant experience and no real complaints.

Magic in your hand
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Apple Pencil is quite amazing for artwork with my iPad Pro. For $99 you can focus on pixels, draw and do shading, all kinds of effects. It's super sensitive to angle, pressure, almost seems intuitive. I said Almost. Plus you never need a sharpener, and never get graphite remnants on your hands from a No.2 old school pencil. Gotta love technology!

Decent stylus
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This isn't as full featured as the surface pen but it is definitely a different approach. The tilt and accuracy of the pencil is very solid. You'll want to get a grip for it though as it's glossy and can be slick. This is NOT supposed to making screeching noises or scratch your screen. if it does, it is defective and I advise returning it. I had to...

Works great. I like using a stylus Good quality!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First bought an "open box" model, but had to return it because it had trouble pairing with my new iPad Pro. I decided to get a new one (never out of the box) and it works great. I also have an art program to play with, but I'm not an artist and haven't done much with it yet. I've been using it as a stylus and really like being able to keep the screen clean(er).

Great to use with iPad Pro!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My daughter uses this with her iPad Pro and loves it! No complaints, although you do have to keep track of one little piece. I asked her what it was when I saw it on her side table and she said it goes to her Apple pencil and not to lose it! I suggested she find a tin or little box to put it in so it doesn't get lost.

Suspect Average User Could Skip this Item
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If it weren't for running across an already marked down (previously returned) Apple Pencil while in the local Best Buy-- along with $35 in Best Buy Points soon to expire - I wouldn't have purchased this pencil -- but at $50 instead of $100 - well, seemed far more reasonably priced. As far as tablet pens go, this one is no doubt the more precise and I would think a must have if you are an artist that needs to do digital drawings on your iPad Pro - for these folks this is a slam dunk, buy it, use it, love it. If you don't fit the above category, it's a lot easier to find yourself wondering how this thing could cost so much. Can't speak with enough experience on battery life as I simply haven't found enough reasons/uses for the pencil. If you are one that finds your fingers hurting from touching the iPad screen - then this pencil would be a must have as well. For me - if it cost more than I paid, it would have been returned - but I am keeping it on the assumption that more apps will support this pencil going forward. You don't know if the battery is low until it is quite low and then it recharges quickly. I purchased aftermarket gizmo to keep the cap the covers the charging port - to keep that cap "attached" to the pencil - wouldn't want to loose the cap. Same for the small lightning power gender adapter -- again, aftermarket item to keep that adapter attached at all times to the lightning cable. Would like to see Apple provide an easy way to view available power\estimated remaining time of usage before the pencil requires a recharge as part of the native ios. If that's already there, I certainly haven't seen it.

A must if you have the iPad Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Arguably the most key difference for me between the iPad and the iPad Pro besides size is the ability to use the Apple Pencil. It is so accurate and precise that it makes using a stylist worth it. It's a game changer for me and I love it.

Apple Pencil
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just got a new iPad Pro and I wanted to try an Apple Pencil with the new iPad. I sketch out a lot of workflows for my job. I used to take notes and workflow doodles on a note pad or on a white board with written notes and stickies. Then write the stuff up in Visio. I already had MS Notes so I have grid-lines on my iPad's writing surface with Apple Pencil. Now I can draw shapes and Note sharpens the shapes. I can write notes on the drawing. I only need to write& diagram once. What a liberator.

Great for graphic design
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this to pair with my iPad for my graphic design classes in college. Adobe is making this more and more useful by the day and even though this is gen 1 it still does a great job. Shocked by the use i got out of this thing. No more hand drawing and scanning. Amazing tool.

Must have accessory!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know that there are a bunch of very similar knock-offs to this product. But NOTHING compares! This is a must-have for any iPad (look for compatibilities) user that wants to get the max usage out of their device! The only bummer is the way it charges but easy to overlook.
