I have an "older" iPad, although I just bought it new from Best Buy. They guaranteed I was getting the latest version ...NOT.... The pencil works great but you do have to charge it by plugging it into the iPad or a charger and, you have to pair it by plugging it into the iPad, each time you turn your iPad off. A little inconvenient, but it still does the job....works as advertised. And, Apple throws in an extra 'point'

Convenient and functional. I got it for taking notes and it is great. I don’t love that it has to be plugged in separately to charge but they have newer models that don’t have to be. It does however hold charge for a long time.

Love my Apple pencil; purchased this one for my mother-in-law for Christmas so it hasn't been used yet...only downfall to mine is having to remember to charge it, but a charge will last a couple of days for me. Thankfully, I haven't lost a tip or the charging cap yet...knock on wood!

bought used at local best buy. it's quite an expensive item for just being a stylus... but works fine.

My daughter is obsess with drawing in her iPad and was begging to get this pen, I was skeptical for the price but it really is a great product, it makes so much easier for her not just to draw but to navigate in her iPad.

Works just fine! Just don't drop it! I bought this as a replacement Apple Pencil for the first one I dropped. This works smoothly and charges up fast!

So I first bought this pencil to draw with. I use procreate and my iPad Pro and it’s a gem. It’s the closest thing to writing on paper but better because it’s easy to change and fix mistakes. I also use it with notability to take notes for class. Absolutely worth every penny.

This pencil works great and is very accurate. The only downside is the cap is easily lost

We had a fluke and the first two pencils were defective but the third one connected very easily. It was also ready to use right out of the box. Well worth the investment due to ease of use and allows my daughter to take notes quickly since she is a slow typer.

Contemplated whether to get this stylus or purchase a non-Apple stylus. So happy to have purchased this one instead as it feels like an actual pen and it makes digital illustrations look like how it would be when drawn with pen and paper.

I think it lived up to the hype. It feels nice to use and it’s got a nice feel. My only complaints are it should have a way to attach to the iPad or it’s Smart Cover. And don’t loose the charging adapter! They don’t sell them and are hard to find! If you have a pro iPad it’s not complete with out this!

Works fine with iPad (6 gen) - responds to both pressure and angle. The only problem is that there is no Apple's native app for drawing except for Notes. Here you can see all benefits. Other apps (even good ones) either do not track angle or act weird on pressure change.

This pen is a good tool for an online teacher! I can quickly write or draw something to clarify words and meanings for my students! I am teaching foreign languages. I have not had this pen for long but so far it has been quite useful.

The Apple Pencil is such a significant product I replaced my seemingly perfect iPAD and other stylus with an iPAD Pro and the Apple Pencil. It feels nice, is responsive, provides the fine lineweight other styli don’t offer. Downsides? It’s always connected to your device unless you make the effort to disconnect. More disturbing is when you need to sync or charge...it cantilevers from the iPAD and just looks bizarre.

Perfect! Wonderful! I used constantly for notetaking, and on Procreate. I'd say there's a learning curve at the beginning but you become accustomed to it. My son accidentally sat on it on the bed and accidentally broke it. Saddest day ever...

To be honest I was skeptical of this item. For the longest time I refused to spend 100 dollars on a pen. I broke down and bought it for my private practice and I love it. I can have clients sign paperwork right on the iPad Pro, I can have children use it for their drawings. I highly recommend this item.

Was concerned about how well the pen would hold a charge.It does quite well and will charge through the i pad port very quickly and only drain the i pad very little,and are able to see the progress on the i pad.It comes with a adapter for a charger but faster on the i pad and keeps it paired.

I haven’t done a lot with the pencil but I especially like how screenshots can be marked up for notes or editing purposes. I haven’t had time to doodle or draw much but have used it for writing in Notes. It is super easy to charge and holds a charge well as far as I can tell.

The pencil works perfectly I have no problem when I connect it to the tablet it is very fast to charge

I'm a student and I wanted to be able to take notes on my iPad without worrying about the quality of the written words, the speed at which I write, etc. The Apple Pencil actually exceded my expectations! I'm left handed so I thought it wouldn't work as smoothly, but it does exactly the job that it's meant to do.
