Great for writing on your ipad . You can make notes and even draw on photos on photo roll if you are so artistically inclined. Doesn't hold charge long when not in use but if you run out you plug it into lightning connector of device and after I believe 30 seconds you get some more juice. Xmas gift for the wife to go with her iPad Pro purchased earlier this year. The open box deal was a nice discount and the Apple Pencil functioned without issue. It's not necessarily a need to have but a nice to have for the new iPad Pro, especially as more apps come out that utilize the pencil.

I know Steve Jobs is turning over in his grave with all the things Apple has done that Steve Jobs said he wouldn't do, but what can you do. Nonetheless, I did purchase an Apple Pencil and have to say that it is a great accessory to my iPad. Working along with apps like Goodnotes and Autodesk Sketchbook, it works amazingly well. It is an indispensable tool for anyone who uses paper but wants to go digital!

This pen is slightly weighted, so it feels balanced when using it with the iPad. The sensitivity is great, and I like that I don’t have to pair it. It connects to my iPad right away!

I have used other pointing devices on an iPad and this is CLEARLY the best option. It is pricy, but I think the experience is well worth the cost. My kids use on iPads for school and both (ages 11 and 14) think it is "the bomb".

The pen works great for writing and coloring (for the wife). Just as if you were using a real pen. Plus you get to choose if you want it to behave like a pencil, a paint brush, a marker pen, etc. You can select the color saturation and line width. All without your pen drying up or having to sharpen a pencil.

This is an incredible tool that we illustrators have all been waiting for. I haven’t noticed any lag while drawing and the parallax is not noticeable. This pencil is on apr if not better than a Wacom pen. My only gripe is that the tip tends to unscrew while drawing and that I wish it had options for a textured tip to give some drag while drawing.

I had read what this product was and read some reviews, I have read and heard all good things about the Apple Pencil. I bought it and I loved it but the only reason I returned it was because I didn't use it as much as I thought I would have. I would recommend this to anyone who loves to write, draw, color, etc.

Happen to buy this for my kid to operate IPAD and you know what she enjoys operating the IPAD with ease using this amazing product pencil. At least through her hands I feel that she has advanced taking this up to perform additional actions like controlling and operating different application software ....

Yes, it costs more and yes that sucks....... but......get the pen. yes, it should be included with the ipad. You don't have to buy the pen at the same time..just look in the app store and see all the things you can do with the pen...get the pen....imho

I got this one because I have the 6th generation iPad. Had the Logitech Crayon. This is by far superior.I am very pleased with this and I'm also glad I was able to grab it in an "open box" so I was able to save a few bucks.

Very accurate and great pointing device. Could use the ability to turn on and off. Battery life good though.

Bought this for my tech savvy daughter...she loves it...I still don't understand it. hahahaha If she likes it, I love it. Thanks Best Buy and Apple.

As someone who has been in search of the holy grail of the perfect stylus, I am amazed how well this pencil works. I have purchased most every variation of passive and active touch capacitive stylus ever made, looking to take notes on my iPad. My search is over, this works well, no input lag, good feel on screen.

Bought this for my son to help with tracing letters now that he's in TK. He loves it and it works great.

I've enjoyed a decent writing experience with the Apple Pencil overall. It's certainly better than any fat tipped instruments I've tried with previous iPad models. It writes smoothly and feels comfortable in my hand. Connection loss after the iPad sleeps is annoying, as is the need to constantly charge it. The cap is easy to misplace. Lastly, I wish I could just flip it to the cap end to erase. Alas, it's not yet a Digital Ticonderoga #2.

I bought the Apple Pencil for a specific work purpose- so my clients could sign contracts online, and their signature would be much more legible than using their finger to sign. I’m enjoying finding other ways to use it, and hopefully that use will only expand as more apps are integrated with it.

I create digital art for film storyboards, and this is by far the best digital pencil I have ever used. It is the most realistic feeling in the hand to a real pencil, has perfect weight distribution, and the pressure sensing tip has no comparison!

Great companion for the iPad 8th generation iPad, really easy to use and feels great to write on, only downside is how you charge it, through the bottom of the iPad; what was apple thinking? Oh well at least its really good

Fought this for my granddaughter for Christmas, she loves it the ease of it especially! Only down fall you have to purchase an adapter to charge it
