The gen 1 apple is a much nicer aliternative to using you finger to make clean notes and lines if drawing is needed. Only real down side is no one likes the way you need to charge the pencil. We purchased a small adapter to plug on to the end of you lightning charging cable instead of putting it into the bottom on the iPad itself. Great add on.

I was initially skeptical when Apple first introduced the Pencil. I couldn't imagine needing a stylus for my iPad. However I received the Pencil as a gift and immediately fell in love. It works better than any stylus I have used. Its precision is amazingly accurate. I only wish there was a way I could easily attach it to my iPad. Using Apple's smart keyboard and cover, there is no place to store the pencil.

Great gift for a young teen! The pen works very nicely with the iPad. It's amazing how you can create a whole picture with vibrant colors, using a colorless pen! Love modern technology!

You don’t know how great it is until you use it! So helpful, makes everyday tasks so much easier. With my iPad Pro and the pen I have stopped using my pc and my laptop. There’s nothing I can’t do with my iPad. Love it. And it holds a charge for a LONG time

Great product, easy to use makes the interaction with the iPad Pro super fun. Adds so much more usability to the product. Best of all it was easy to buy for someone and let them pick up the item from the local Best Buy. Great fast and easy pickup.

Purchased for my 10 yr old granddaughter for Christmas It was easy to set up She's been using it for about 6 months and hasn't had any issues with it She always uses it and is enjoying it

The pencil does exactly what it it supposed to do. The draw back is the goofy way you have to pair and charge the pencil. Having a pencil sticking out of your iPad lightning port is odd - not one of Apple’s better design decisions. But all in all the pencil does what I need it to do.

Happy to have this pen/pencil. Writes nice. Lots of celebrities come to town and it’s cool to take a selfie with them and then get their autograph using the pencil. The stylus is now a thing of the past. It’s also very fluid to use.

Easy & fun to use. Just insert into lightening port and it will pair with your iPad Pro. You can switch back & forth from the 12” to the 10-1/2”. Charge it in the same port. Scroll far right on your screen to show the percentage of the charge. Great product.

Love this pen! I only have one complaint, you charge it by attaching it to your iPad!! It looks weird using the iPad with this long pencil sticking out! I’m going to look for a charger for my pencil.

My previous experience was with a stylus on the iPad2 model. You could never rest your hand on tablet. The Apple Pencil allows you to write notes like it's paper. My daughter also draws with the pencil and she says it's close to using a real pencil on paper.

I use my iPad as my laptop. Have a keyboard and bought this as an additional helping tool. Charge stays. Long time. Great for any type of work with the screen. I just feel that the product is a lTitle on the heavy weight side.

I have been waiting for something like that from Apple since the first I phone came out. I have use Wacom devices for years and really enjoyed them but nothing feels as natural as the apple pencil does. I really hope that Apple supports the pencil on all other future devices.

The pencil is highly accurate and great to use. Only complaint is that it doesn’t have an eraser which is highly needed when drawing/writing. Also, I still hate that you have to directly connect it to the iPad to charge. That is a design I don’t know why Apple approved some its highly Prone to break. But overall, a good experience.

I have loved the Apple Pencil! The responsivity when working in notes is top notch (basically no lag at all), and it’s been a lot of fun to use in creative apps like procreate. Pressure sensitivity and slanting to shade work perfectly!

Pencil has been used regularly since Dec and I haven't had any issues. It take & holds a charge great too.

A great product for novice artists, especially my 13 year old. You can make beautiful works of art with such a simple pencil. Able to use ink, graphite, watercolor, paint, etc. Download Procreate and you can make anything!
