The first generation pencil is an amazing piece of hardware. I wish it were just a little bit shorter and maybe lighter. Overall, my first experiences using this with my new iPad 9.7 have been fascinating. I am impressed with response time and am love the idea of being able to rest my hand on the screen without any affect on writing. Apple prevails again over all others.

I was really expecting to return this after a day or two since I thought it was a glorified stylus. Boy was I wrong, the Apple Pencil is really nice to work with. It has a good weight, is very responsive and the best part is that is minimizes accidental brushes on the screen. Excellent

I write stories about a superheroine: Super Holly Hansson. I write, but I do not draw. But I finally decided to buy an Apple Pencil to play around with drawing. The pencil works great. (I bought Procreate as the drawing app). My drawing skills are not so great, but if you want to try digital drawing, an iPad and an Apple Pencil are a great way to go. Be sure you get the right Apple Pencil for you iPad, and even if you do not become another Ditko or Kirby right away, you will still learn (look up videos on drawing comics). And remember: IT'S ALL IN THE FACE! Apple Pencil is not cheap. But with Apple, you get what you pay for. Easy to set up and charge up. P.S. What's the first best iPad accessory? A big USB power bank, of course!

I'm not an artist by any means, but I love the Apple Pencil. I think it is a must-have when paired with my iPad Pro 10.5. Note taking is amazing and even using it for some light navigation is great too. Do yourself a favor and pony up the $100, it's worth it.

Great!!! I lost my old one, thanks to my cat, and had to buy a new one. It recharges in no time, especially on my new iPad!!!

It works seamlessly on my iPad Pro 9.7 Expensive but great experience. A little slippery and heavy for a pen. But I like its weight and hope it has something to grip without buying extra cover. Overall, I satisfied with this purchase.

Works great on my new iPad 9.7 inch. The reason why I purchased was to encourage myself to try to draw which trust me I cannot draw!!! Having fun with this device very accurate does come with an adapter so you can charge it with a lightning cable instead of from your iPad also comes with an extra tip it screws in and out for replacement. I would definitely buy this again and highly recommend it if you haven't purchased yet. I know the price is high but become a Best Buy member and purchase a laptop like I did, on a Best Buy special where I add extra bonus points, and my reward was $95 so in actuality I only paid $5 plus tax for the apple pencil. Like I said look into Best Buy's reward program if you've never been a member. Thanks for taking the time to read my review.

Works great! Is really accurate for drawing in procreate! The pressure sensitivity is my favorite part about using this pencil in procreate. Tried other brands and they just come match the quality of the I pencil.

The Apple Pencil feels like a solid pen. I enjoy taking notes with it, using Nebo. Otherwise I am mostly using it in place of a finger, but it is so much easier, more accurate, and cleaner on the screen. Holds charge well and recharges quickly.

The Pencil is incredible! It is the closest thing to mimicking the feel of pencil and paper out there. I've had mine for a few months and use it everyday; it still looks and works like its brand new. In the time I have had it, I have charged it a total of maybe 8 times, despite heavy use.

It is amazing it works so well that I went and purchased the new iPad Pro 12.9” just to get the 2 gen pencil. The only thing I did not like about gen 1 was that it was very slippery and gen 2 is not. Over all I recommend anyone of them.

Using an Apple Pencil feels very natural to hold and use. The weight of the Pencil was quite nice. Just enough weight but not too much. Loved the tip of the Pencil and you almost forget that you are not drawing or writing with an actual pencil or pen. Thanks Apple!!!

With the Apple Pencil and my iPad Pro, and so many exciting new apps that go along with the pencil, my work just became easier Yes it is expensive, but compared to other stylus, the Pencil is hands down so much smoother and has finer detail. Pros - simplicity Cons - $$$$

This was a little difficult to get to pair at first. But once we got the correct adapter and charging cable, everything worked great!

Many reviews state that the apple pencil is too long, too skinny or too slippery, I do not find that to be the case. It feels good in my hand, sync's easily and works well with the iPad pro. I am happy with his purchase!

Good battery, sleek design, feels good in the hand, precise and accurate tracking. Unfortunately the cap is only held by a magnet so it’d be pretty easy to lose the thing if you aren’t careful while charging. I picked up an Insignia silicone cap keeper, it works great.

My students and I love drawing on the iPad with it. Taking notes is also very nice since it’s hard keeping track of loose paper. I would recommend it for getting reluctant drawers (kindergarten) to enjoy drawing! The pen is also doing great esthetically.

The Apple pencil makes entering letters on the iPad much quicker and more accurate. It is quick to recharge and easy to determine how much charge is left. Tried the art apps, but they are not that much fun. The pencil makes the Ipad much easier to use.

I really enjoy this Apple Pencil. It is great for filling out electronic PDF forms on my iPad Pro as well as doodling, coloring and writing. I like having easy access to different color palettes, brushes and fonts. Great for practicing calligraphy, editing pictures and a few word games. I forget to charge it....a lot. Still not use to battery powered pencils. It charges quickly so, that's a good thing.

I had not thought about a pencil, but it is great. It helps improve time on some types of games. Sudoku, specifically. Much more enjoyable that using finger. Easy to quick charge on ipad. Or plug in to usb port. Both ways are easy to use. It makes using ipad more fun.
