Apple pencil 2 gen is so flawless and way easier to charge compared to the first generation. Worth the upgrade

Major upgrades over 1st Gen Pencil. This one magnetically attaches to your iPad so you don't lose it and holds a charge forever. Very impressed.

An essential addition to an iPad. This is a huge improvement over the first generation Apple Pencil. Connects easily so it's not lost, works effortlessly with so many apps.

This works pretty good. Paired with an iPad Pro M2 the hover effect is nice. Good autonomy. Mostly because if will turn-off itself after certain period of time. Forgot it on my backpack and was still at 75% when repaired again. Only thing to be aware off is that this device will not charge or pair when using any of the iPad cases out there.

I purchased the new iPad Pro 11" after doing very little research on it. Due to it having the upgraded A12X chip as well as including "Face ID", I was purchasing it regardless therefor I didnt realize I could not use my 1st gen  Pencil on the new iPad Pro. I honestly was bummed out because after finally bitting the bullet and purchasing the 1st gen  Pencil, I knew right then that I would never use a iPad again without it. Keep in mind that I am by no means a artist or remotely artistic in the least bit, and honestly cant even draw a decent stick man. I solely use the 1st gen  pencil as a basic stylus and writing utensil for taking notes, but I LOVE it and cant go without using it now. Well with all of that being said, I immediately went back up to best buy and purchased the new 2nd gen  pencil, and I honestly couldnt be happier with its improved performance, as well as the other substantial changes made to it as well. When I was using the 1st gen  Pencil, I would only charge it with the iPad tucked away somewhere safe and when the condition(s) were guaranteed that no one would get near it because I was so afraid of the lightning charge port getting snapped off inside of the iPad. The reason I bring that up is because the addition of wireless charging in the 2nd gen  Pencil is a game changer, and it made me fall in love with the Pencil even more than I thought I could, prior to owning this new one. Another small improvement I thoroughly enjoy is the new "Matte" look and feel, which considerably cuts down on the original  Pencils "Slickness" feel. One last tiny thing I love with the new  Pencil is not having the back cap that has to be kept up with and prob 90% or more people eventually lost. All in all, if your looking at purchasing the new  Pencil stop hesitating, and just do it..... You wont be disappointed. -John Posey

This pencil is very easy to use due to the Apple auto connect. The ergonomics also feel amazing. The price would be the only con for me, I wonder what the profit is that Apple makes on this.

Double tapping allows for convenience of tool changing. Flat edge for ease of charging. Most ideal for digital drawing,painting,coloring,and painting. Great product.

Balanced, smooth, expensive. It’s a very expensive stylus, but it’s also a very nice one too…Apple’s design concept in a sentence.
