The Apple Pencil 2 is absolutely worth getting. Especially if editing photos / videos or drawing are in your wheelhouse. There is zero delay when drawing on the 2018 IPad Pro (this version of pencil is only compatible with the new iPad pros). I can draw with the same accuracy on the IPad as I can on paper. The magnetic connection on the IPad that holds the pencil and charges it is super easy to use and is strong enough that the pencil won’t fall off on its own.
Battery life is extremely good, I have drawn for nearly hours and still had 70% battery. Since the pencil sits on the iPad when not In use it is always charged.
The pencil is quite comfortable to hold and I have not had it slip out of my fingers at all. It is similar in texture to a wooden pencil.
So far it has been very durable too. My 3 year old uses it to color a lot on my IPad and he isn’t careful with things. He has as much fun using the drawing and coloring apps as I do.
If you are thinking about getting this then just get it. It is worth it and makes the IPad Pro more enjoyable to use for editing and drawing.

I wasn’t sure I would like this. I write small and always have trouble getting a stylus to work correctly. This thing is amazing! There is a “double-tap” feature that allows you to toggle between the current use and the last use (if you switch to the eraser then double-tap when you are done, you go back to the pencil use). I have discovered that apparently I double-tap my pencil A LOT when I write...never knew that before. It must be my thinking mode. Definitely doesn’t keep me from enjoying this pencil. I highly recommend this product.

The purchase was made as a graduation gift for my granddaughter. She will be graduating from college in December. She plans to attend P.A. school next. This Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) along with the new iPad Pro she received from us earlier will help her in her studies and on her clinical rounds. I'm told this is the newest in medical student technology. Looking forward to her reactions.

Works flawlessly with new iPad. Great for all the artwork my daughter does. She is able to add much more detail and depth than as thought possible previously.

My wife bought a new ipad air over the holidays and we bought the pencil to go with it as it was on sale. It took her a few days or maybe weeks to open it because she didn't think she needed it. Well I will just say this... she has yet to put that thing down. Even I was surprised and thought to myself wow it must be that good. I have no idea what she uses it for but she's always like pass my pencil if its not with her when she is on the ipad. So I will this her stamp of approval!

I bought this as an open box pencil and I am not disappointed! It works perfectly and is compatible with my screen protector. I got a $130 retail value Apple Pencil for only $80…a steal!

My old 1st generation pencil drove me crazy on my old iPad. Trying to keep track of the cap and the charging dongle was ridiculous. Having to plug it in separately was a pain. I like the 2nd generation pen--how it attaches to the iPad for charging and storage, no dongle, no separate charging hookup--it's a big improvement.
