I originally debated whether I truly needed this pencil and to help with the decision making, I borrowed one from a friend to test for a few days before I bite the bullet. And I’m glad I did - note taking, reading, and even less finger prints made it worth the purchase. I highly recommend everyone to think through what purposes this pencil should serve in your usage and I think it’ll naturally lead to the decision for a purchase or not.

The only thing holding my rating from a 5 star is simply the amount of features.
Is it a great drawing stylus? Yes!
Is it a great note taking tool? Yes!
But it feels very limited. What it does is great but what it lacks is also great.
Overall a great and solid product!

I wasn’t sure how much I would use this pencil, but after getting the Good Notes application, I really appreciate how comfortable it is to write with this pencil. It’s also pressure sensitive, which is great for using artistic and photo editing applications.
The flat side of the pencil makes it more comfortable to hold than the 1st generation and it doesn’t roll off the table. The flat side also is magnetic and I really like that it attaches to the side of the iPad.
I only gave it 4 stars because of the price. Is it worth $129? If you are an artist or do a lot of work that requires precision and pressure sensitivity, it could be worth it. I primarily use it for taking notes, so that’s why I feel somewhat unsure about the cost-to-benefit ratio. Nonetheless, I have used other, less expensive styluses and the Apple Pencil 2 is far more comfortable to hold and offers excellent precision vs the cheaper options.

This is a good purchase if you already have an ipad and want to use it like digital paper. I love it. Only negatives would be pricey and no way to find it if lost. Apple has the most expensive consumer smart pen I’ve found, but imo it can be worth the money if you need it.

This thing is great! Charges well, magnetic link is far more reliable and convenient than having the pencil dangling out of the charging port. Feels good to write with, and accuracy is good. Recommend a screen protector like Paperlike for a truly enjoyable writing experience.

This is the best accessory for the iPad Air. If you're a student this is a must. It comes in handy for taking notes and journaling. The only downside is that it's a bit overpriced.
