A big improvement from the original
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Writes very good on the newer iPads. Much better design than the original Apple Pencil. Charges wirelessly and magnetically attached to the iPad. One flat side so it does not roll as easily. I am so glad they did away with the lightning charging in the iPad port that the original pencil had. I like the feature where you can double tap and change your tools. Makes it a bit more convenient to use. I also like the Matt white. They should make it in Matt black too though. I also wish there were a few more flat sides so it rolled even less. Overall, a big improvement though!

Unfortunately a necessary evil, albeit a good one.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being brutally honest: Not much of an improvement over the 1st generation, at least, I think it isn't. Pros: Wireless charging is nice. Magnetic clip and, boop, you're charging. Also sticks onto the iPad so it doesn't fall off. It'd need heck of a bump to come off. Not saying it wouldn't, but it seems very difficult to make it part from its wireless charging magnetic cradle without intentionally removing it. Pencil thickness is reduced which is also nice. The 1st gen was pretty bulky, but solid. This one is thinner and lighter, but curious about how durable it is. Certainly wouldn't try and bend it. Cons: Material is a big step back. The 1st gen was much more "Apple-esque" with its brilliant white and shiny coating. This one is very slippery, it's slipped out of my hands more in a couple weeks of ownership than the 1st gen ever did in a year and a half. It's notoriously bad when you have dry skin, such as when you're on an airplane. No additional tips. Not sure WHY they chose to not include an extra tip like they did last time, but that's rough. Break the tip, you gotta buy more before you can use the pencil again. Having that extra included from the get-go gives you a "fool me twice..." experience that you don't get this time around. "Meh"-s: Double tap to switch: A cool concept, but works maybe 40% of the time. Or, it false-fires. Maybe user error, I dunno. I try to use it but sometimes it's just easier to tap between the "pencil" and "eraser" icons in Notes and/or Notability. Tracking: Doesn't seem to be improved over the 1st gen. Maybe I'm wrong but it doesn't seem to be any more or less accurate which I guess is a good thing? Overall, I think the biggest gripe is that you can't use the 1st gen pencil on the new iPad Pro which I guess isn't the pencil's fault, but still lame nevertheless. It's still a great product and I use it almost daily, and definitely wouldn't replace it with anything else. Just make sure you don't break the tip unless you've bought extras. Side note: My first 2nd gen had a manufacturer defect that caused the transducer to break off if the tip was removed. I returned it and received a new one, although out of caution I haven't removed the tip yet. I'd advise using similar caution with yours, just in case.

Great Value Pencil
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes, it's expensive, but it's an expense I'm glad I made. I liked the prices of other pencils for the iPad, but I didn't like their charging methods. This product was made for Apple by Apple, so integration and ease of use is superb. I mainly use the pencil for note taking or drawing in ProCreate.

Gamechanger for ipad pro
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently acquired the Apple Pencil Gen 2, and it has completely transformed the way I interact with my iPad Pro. This stylus is not just a tool; it's a piece of innovation that seamlessly integrates with the iPad ecosystem, offering a level of precision and functionality that sets it apart. The magnetic attachment feature is a game-changer. The Apple Pencil effortlessly attaches to the side of the iPad Pro, ensuring that it's always within reach and ready to use. The automatic pairing and charging through this magnetic connection eliminate the need for fumbling with cables or worrying about battery life.

A must for every iPad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You don’t realize that you need this pencil until you have it. My iPad Pro has basically been upgraded and it lets me use my tablet to it to its full potential. Pencil is responsive and accurate, exchangeable tips are another great feature.

Apple Pencil, 2nd Generation
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this apple pencil to go with my pro 12.9 and could not be more pleased. So much better than first generation because it charges by being magnetically paired with the ipad. You don't have to plug anything in and it charges fast. Some people say that it is not the same as pencil and paper and that it is noisy. I don't find that at all. I love the feel and find it better than traditional ways of taking notes or filling forms. I hardly ever use paper anymore and when I have to, it feels unnatural! I would much rather use my ipad and apple pencil! I had a Samsung before and it is no comparison to the ipad in my opinion! The ipad is the real deal. I find it well worth the extra cost when you look at the whole picture. The combination of the ipad and this pencil are a dream come true for a college student who takes a lot of notes. Now they are electronically saved and I know exactly where to find them when it comes time to study for the CPA exam! I highly recommend! It only comes with one tip, but I have not had to replace it after two months of heavy use.

I love it the apple pencil
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Pencil 2 is nothing short of a digital artist's dream. Seamlessly pairing with my iPad, it transforms my tablet into a canvas of endless possibilities. Whether sketching, taking notes, or designing, its precision is unparalleled, replicating the feel of a traditional pencil but with the power of modern technology. The added double-tap feature is a game-changer, allowing for quick tool switches without breaking the creative flow. A magnetic attachment and wireless charging are the cherries on top, making it an indispensable tool for any iPad user. A perfect blend of design and functionality, the Apple Pencil 2 is truly a masterpiece in its own right.

Love this new design of Apple Pencil
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to pair to the new iPad that I just purchased at the same time. I like that the iPad can be setup to respond to pencil touches differently than when you use your fingers to scroll for example. Long battery life, and love how it stores right next to the iPad by a magnetic pull within the protective case.

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like how my i pad case charges it automatically. Works great. Pleasantly surprised
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am so happy I finally decided to go ahead and purchase the apple pen. I’m a realtor and I wanted to try to go more paperless. So instead of varying a bunch of documents and notes in folders , I just jot my notes down in my iPad and copy documents into notes. I like the functiality of this pen. It was on sale at the time I bought it and I’m glad I went for this instead of the USBC apple pen. I like that it can charge by attaching to the side of my iPad Pro. I know I haven’t explored the full functionality of this pen yet but I expect to in time to come.

Awesome!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) is such a fun tool to use with my iPad Pro (2020)! It magnetically connects and charges on the iPad, so it’s always ready to go when I need it. It doesn’t “skip” or lag when drawing or writing, which some less expensive off-brand names will sometimes do. It was definitely worth the investment!

It's a lot better
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the 2nd gen. pencil much better due to wireless charging. I didn't like my 1st gen. pencil because I have to remove the cap and charge the pencil. (I did lose the cap on one occasion) . This pencil is fully charge in less than an hour and last for more than 8 hours. It also lighter and feel better on your hand.

Apple pencil
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Pencil stands out as a precise and responsive stylus, elevating the iPad experience for creatives and note-takers alike. Its pressure sensitivity and tilt functionality offer a natural drawing experience, while the seamless pairing and magnetic attachment make it user-friendly. The battery life is commendable, and the quick charging feature adds to its convenience. Though it's specifically designed for iPad compatibility and comes with a relatively higher price tag, its performance and functionality make it a worthwhile investment for anyone prioritizing precision in digital tasks.

Good quality and easy to pair and use.
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good pencil. I don’t use it much but plan to at some point. Great that it wirelessly charges. I think it’s a little pricey but good quality. Easy to pair like most apple products.

Skeptical.. but in the end worth the money!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical before i bought this, i have read so many bad and good reviews i was actually confused on what to believe.. In my opinion it was well worth the money. It's so easy to use, easy to set up, charges by magnetically connecting to your ipad so you don't have to carry around an extra charger and since it magnetically connects to your ipad it stays put so i wont lose where i put it. I use the pencil for taking notes and for those coloring apps. I love how when your writing and you need to erase something you can just double tap the pencil to change it to the eraser, just makes things a little quicker. I could go on and on about how this pencil works amazing for me. And i would say if your on the fence between this one or a knock off version i would spend the money on this product. I only use the pencil for basic things, however just on those basic things this pencil has been worth every penny. I am sure it can do so much more than what i am actually using it for but that being said the basic usage of this pencil as far exceeded every bad review i previously read before purchasing this product.

10/10
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this with my ipad and it’s quite amazing. I use my ipad in college as a notebook and it wouldn’t be complete without my apple pencil. the pencil magnets right to my ipad for easy charging and is always at a good battery life even after using it for awhile. the tip hasn’t worn down a bit, i’m not too worried about replacing it anytime soon. he quick touch features on the pencil are very useful for taking quick notes in class. 10/10 would definitely recommend for anyone needing to take notes or even draw on a ipad surface.

Apple Pencil second generation.

Designed specifically to work seamlessly with Apple's iPad Pro and iPad Air models, this sleek and stylish accessory delivers an unparalleled drawing and writing experience. Perfection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new apple pencil is Wonderful! The sleek design makes this 2nd generation feel like a real led pencil. I think it has a lot to do with the ridges. Say goodbye to lightning port charging!!! This guy charges magnetically with your iPad Pro. The double tap feature to change tools is an added bonus and comes in handy in certain apps such as notes and procreate. It has a matte finish so it is not as slippery in the hand, but I also purchased a sleeve for it to 1. protect my investment 2. keep this white pencil as clean as possible 3. add additional grip 4.. Add a stylish look to my pen This is one of the accessories to a device that you shouldn't leave behind. There are other comparable pencils to use with a iPad Pro, but this one was made for the new iPad Pro.

Great addition to the iPad Pro.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really nice addition to the iPad. The tap to change to eraser function speeds up note taking. Attaching to the side of the iPad to charge is a significant improvement over the previous generation. I'm looking forward to the enhanced features coming in the next iPadOS update. Only complaint is the high price.
