Definitely better experience than the first version of the pencil. Feels better in hand, charges magnetically and doesn't have the removable tip.

Apple Pencil — 2nd Gen is great. Comfortable enough and a nice weight. The battery life has been better than I expected - used it all day taking notes, as well as downloading and then taking notes right on the presentation slides. Four hours continuous note taking. No prob - Super awesome!
Only drawback is that pencils and pens habitually get dropped, or scooted off the desktop, or flung when fidgeting with them goes wrong. Mine hit the floor twice. Carpet is forgiving. Travertine is not. Mine tilts just a bit to one side.... but still works well. That’s an expensive lesson. I’m going to have to buy the cap from the 1st Gen. Really, I guess I wish it was an Apple Click (pen) so the tip would retract and be protected.

Love the functionality of this Apple Pencil. My only issue is that it does not stay connected to the magnetic side of my iPad Pro where the issue tends to be it gets knocked off easily. I did not use my iPad Pro for a period of time and didn’t realize the pencil wasn’t fully connected. The pencil has since had a dead battery and will no longer pair to my iPad. Apple support said this will happen if the pencil is not charged for a period of time resulting in an absolute dead battery. The only fix, is to get an entire new pencil. Therefore the deduction of one star. Other than that the ease of use and ability to free draw has been awesome. I do however wish they would find a better way for the Apple Pencil to stay secured.

Love this pencil and the fact that it charges wirelessly. I don’t have to plug it in and there’s no batteries that might go dead. Partially dictated the iPad model that I ended up purchasing

Using with new generation (4th) iPad Air. The connection and charging function are excellent. It is easy and seamless to use with the iPad. You will find yourself getting comfortable with the pencil and eventually using it rather than your finger to use the screen functions. If you are not going to use the pencil for graphic art design, use with the Cricut, drawing, etc. I would probably not recommend the use of it for the price. Otherwise it’s worth it.

I basically updated my stuff, I had an iPad Pro 1st gen with and Apple Pencil. What I like about this new version is the ease of charging, since it doesn’t connect to the USB c port and attaches to the iPad magnetically is so much better to carry it around

The new Apple Pencil makes writing and taking notes much easier. It’s user friendly and I love that all I need to do to charge it is put it in the pencil holder of my iPad case. I gifted one to my sister in law because she loves to draw and she told me it takes her drawings to a whole new level.

I’m a photographer working with the iPad Pro (2018) and this is like my 4th or 5th pencil repurchase, but not because they’re bad quality and keep breaking, but because of my negligence in losing them and giving one away to my nephew who’s picking up digital art.
If something happens to my pencil, I will SCRAMBLE to buy a new one because it’s just sooo integral to my workflow. I’d rather not have a stylus at all than work with any other stylus for the iPad Pro… but I’d MUCH rather just have the Apple Pencil always at hand because of how PERFECT it is to work with. The little to no latency, the glide of the tip on the screen, the ergonomic feel of it in the hand, it’s just toooo good!

Great product, very easy to use. Love the fact that it attaches to the IPAD for and charges while attached. Wish it would attached the other side of the IPad as well. Would recommend this for your Apple product. There are all kinds of apps out there to make the IPad seem more like paper as you write on it as well. Just check the Apple store. Great gift for a college student who has a mainframe computer and wants to take notes in class.

Why the heck did I buy this thing? I have no use for it but I figured I'd give it a shot. Honestly I don't even know where I put it. Save your money, skip this purchase. I gave it 4 stars because I don't have a reason to give it anything less or more. It's an Apple product so it's well designed. The few minutes I used it during set up, it was neat so yeah, maybe 4 stars because of that? Other than that, the majority of us won't have much use for it. Heck I dunno, maybe buy it and play around with it. Maybe you'll love it or maybe it'll be meh.

I think this is a must have for anyone that does a lot of writing or drawing. Geared more towards artists, but fun for those who want to dabble with drawing or writing as a new form of art. Love how it clips to the iPad making it very easy to charge. Only concern I have is when I'm traveling and I could potentially bump into something that would cause it to disconnect and get lost.
