    Forty years ago I illustrated my book on topological drawings by drafting all the line art, chalkboard illustrations, and programming the computer graphics myself. All with pencil, pen, chalk and C/IrisGL. Since then I tried but rejected serial IT replacements: Wacom tablets (too expensive), Fuji and HP tablets (clumsy PC technology), early iPads and Android pads (no pressure sensitive styli) and finally the iPad Pro, 3rdGen with Apple Pencil 2. (See my review of it.) This is the first viable tool that has the potential of working but I have yet to find software for it that provides the scope, ease, and speed of classical paper and ink pen technology. Here' hoping!

    I am still getting used to this; I still have difficulty switching between eraser and pencil. I love how it docks on the side of the iPad and it can charge there wireless. It is completely hassle-free.

    The 2nd generation Apple pencil solves all the problems with the 1st generation. Auto charging in case, no separate devices required, etc. Very happy with it....and got a great buy over the holidays.
