Quality that you pay for
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROS Battery: The battery on this pencil has never been a concern. I have never worried about the battery, it lasts super long! Responsiveness: The pencil is extremely responsive on the iPad's screen. It feels great, and I absolutely love it for taking notes! Accuracy: It works as you would expect a real pencil too, 100% of the time. It's perfect! CONS: Ease of holding: After a while of using it, it can feel uncomfortable to hold. Feel of writing: The feel of the plastic tip on the screen does not feel great. It is a little too slippery for my liking. So I bought the ESR (2-Pack) Paper-Feel Screen Protector for iPad Pro 12.9 2021 & 2020 & 2018 [Supports Pencil] [Write & Draw Like on Paper] Anti-Glare Matte PET Film for iPad Pro 12.9-Inch 2021 & 2020 (Not Glass) SUMMARY: It's great! I love it as a stylist, taking notes and drawing! Absolutely worth the money!

A big improvement from the original
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Writes very good on the newer iPads. Much better design than the original Apple Pencil. Charges wirelessly and magnetically attached to the iPad. One flat side so it does not roll as easily. I am so glad they did away with the lightning charging in the iPad port that the original pencil had. I like the feature where you can double tap and change your tools. Makes it a bit more convenient to use. I also like the Matt white. They should make it in Matt black too though. I also wish there were a few more flat sides so it rolled even less. Overall, a big improvement though!

Apple Pencil 2nd Gen

Its sleek design, seamless connectivity, and impressive responsiveness make it a must-have accessory for artists, designers, and note-takers alike. The magnetic attachment and wireless charging feature add convenience, while the double-tap gesture for switching tools enhances productivity. Excellent Apple Pencil
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) in Open Box Excellent condition, and I’m very impressed. The pencil looked brand new like no scratches, marks, or signs of wear. It paired instantly with my iPad and works flawlessly for note-taking, drawing, and navigation. The magnetic charging and double-tap feature make it super convenient to use. At $70.99, this was an incredible deal compared to the full retail price, and I feel like I got a brand-new product at almost half the cost. If you’re considering an Apple Pencil, I highly recommend checking out the Open Box options, they’re a great way to save money without sacrificing quality.

Unfortunately a necessary evil, albeit a good one.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being brutally honest: Not much of an improvement over the 1st generation, at least, I think it isn't. Pros: Wireless charging is nice. Magnetic clip and, boop, you're charging. Also sticks onto the iPad so it doesn't fall off. It'd need heck of a bump to come off. Not saying it wouldn't, but it seems very difficult to make it part from its wireless charging magnetic cradle without intentionally removing it. Pencil thickness is reduced which is also nice. The 1st gen was pretty bulky, but solid. This one is thinner and lighter, but curious about how durable it is. Certainly wouldn't try and bend it. Cons: Material is a big step back. The 1st gen was much more "Apple-esque" with its brilliant white and shiny coating. This one is very slippery, it's slipped out of my hands more in a couple weeks of ownership than the 1st gen ever did in a year and a half. It's notoriously bad when you have dry skin, such as when you're on an airplane. No additional tips. Not sure WHY they chose to not include an extra tip like they did last time, but that's rough. Break the tip, you gotta buy more before you can use the pencil again. Having that extra included from the get-go gives you a "fool me twice..." experience that you don't get this time around. "Meh"-s: Double tap to switch: A cool concept, but works maybe 40% of the time. Or, it false-fires. Maybe user error, I dunno. I try to use it but sometimes it's just easier to tap between the "pencil" and "eraser" icons in Notes and/or Notability. Tracking: Doesn't seem to be improved over the 1st gen. Maybe I'm wrong but it doesn't seem to be any more or less accurate which I guess is a good thing? Overall, I think the biggest gripe is that you can't use the 1st gen pencil on the new iPad Pro which I guess isn't the pencil's fault, but still lame nevertheless. It's still a great product and I use it almost daily, and definitely wouldn't replace it with anything else. Just make sure you don't break the tip unless you've bought extras. Side note: My first 2nd gen had a manufacturer defect that caused the transducer to break off if the tip was removed. I returned it and received a new one, although out of caution I haven't removed the tip yet. I'd advise using similar caution with yours, just in case.

Apple Pencil Updated
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is similar to the first generation Apple Pencil I have in terms of quality and application. The design changes on this one include a single flat side and magnetic capabilities. Also a “tap” function that allows for switching modes. As an example, from writing tool to eraser. This can be set in the preferences.

Great Value Pencil
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes, it's expensive, but it's an expense I'm glad I made. I liked the prices of other pencils for the iPad, but I didn't like their charging methods. This product was made for Apple by Apple, so integration and ease of use is superb. I mainly use the pencil for note taking or drawing in ProCreate.

2nd gen way better than previous version
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Certainly there are some improvements over the previous version, the wireless charging alone is one of the most welcomed update. The accuracy has also been improved and the indent helps it not roll all over the placed when placing it on a flat surface. The price to me is still a little high though.

Apple Pencil, 2nd Generation
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this apple pencil to go with my pro 12.9 and could not be more pleased. So much better than first generation because it charges by being magnetically paired with the ipad. You don't have to plug anything in and it charges fast. Some people say that it is not the same as pencil and paper and that it is noisy. I don't find that at all. I love the feel and find it better than traditional ways of taking notes or filling forms. I hardly ever use paper anymore and when I have to, it feels unnatural! I would much rather use my ipad and apple pencil! I had a Samsung before and it is no comparison to the ipad in my opinion! The ipad is the real deal. I find it well worth the extra cost when you look at the whole picture. The combination of the ipad and this pencil are a dream come true for a college student who takes a lot of notes. Now they are electronically saved and I know exactly where to find them when it comes time to study for the CPA exam! I highly recommend! It only comes with one tip, but I have not had to replace it after two months of heavy use.

Great upgreade from 1st Generation
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pencil works great with the iPad, and if you don't have one, WHY? The double tap between pencil and eraser mode for note taking is a little weird at first, but then you learn how to hold the pencil so you dont mistakenly switch between. I would not go as far as saying the pen is "comfortable," but it is a HUGE improvement over the 1st generation. I have yet to find a "Comfortable" and "Productive" stylus. Hint Hint Nudge Nudge to any company that produces these reading this. Overall the Apple Pencil turns your iPad into a serious work horse machine as far as taking notes and drawing diagrams. If you take a lot of notes, you probably want to consider the larger iPad over the smaller. Battery life on the Pencil and iPad 12.9 is the reason of choice over other competing products.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a new pencil to replace my old one that broke at the tip. Love the magnetic charging, one less thing to have to worry about charging. Can just attach and go without worrying about its battery. The battery last a while without needing to be recharged

Awesome!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) is such a fun tool to use with my iPad Pro (2020)! It magnetically connects and charges on the iPad, so it’s always ready to go when I need it. It doesn’t “skip” or lag when drawing or writing, which some less expensive off-brand names will sometimes do. It was definitely worth the investment!

Pleasantly surprised
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am so happy I finally decided to go ahead and purchase the apple pen. I’m a realtor and I wanted to try to go more paperless. So instead of varying a bunch of documents and notes in folders , I just jot my notes down in my iPad and copy documents into notes. I like the functiality of this pen. It was on sale at the time I bought it and I’m glad I went for this instead of the USBC apple pen. I like that it can charge by attaching to the side of my iPad Pro. I know I haven’t explored the full functionality of this pen yet but I expect to in time to come.

It's a lot better
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the 2nd gen. pencil much better due to wireless charging. I didn't like my 1st gen. pencil because I have to remove the cap and charge the pencil. (I did lose the cap on one occasion) . This pencil is fully charge in less than an hour and last for more than 8 hours. It also lighter and feel better on your hand.
