Love how much this feels like an actual pen! Haven't had any troubles with it. Charges fast and no real lag that I can tell when writing on the iPad. Also the weight is perfect.

Very nice pencil for drawing and sketching. It has a flat edge that attaches magnetically for automatic charging and pairing. A bit pricey (as are all Apple products), but very nice.

The Apple Pencil is the best stylus I've used for a digital device. Granted, I don't do much drawing, however it feels a lot more comfortable to use than my Samsung S-Pen due to it's larger size. It just feels sturdy in the hand! The magnets are also INCREDIBLY fun. I've put this thing on music stands, walls, and in other strange locations. As a student and musician, this has been fantastic for annotating my Jazz charts as well as doing quick math when I don't feel like wasting a piece of paper. There are a few gripes I have though. For one, the price. It's simply too expensive for what should be a basic utility on the amazing canvas that is the iPad Pro. The second thing is the tips. Granted, I haven't been too gentle with the pencil... I move around a lot in classes and rehersals and this thing has been dropped a few times. However after two weeks the tip of the pencil was noticeably flattened, and the pencil failed to write at an angle... it had to be straight perpendicular to the display. My advice? Do try and be gentle with the tip, it DOES wear over time. Regardless, you ARE gonna have to spend some cash on spare tips for this thing... which can be a bit pricey from Apple directly, but there are indeed other options on other websites. Just keep that in mind and don't be caught by surprise like I was!

I liked my first Apple Pencil. I Love the 2nd Generation Apple Pencil! Magnetic so you just have to put in on the side of the IPad Pro. It Also charges in this location. No cords or plugging in required and you can press on the pencil to change from writing to erasing, and, press again and go back to writing or drawing. Apple You did an outstanding job on this generation. I thoroughly enjoy shopping at Store #2511 in Muskogee OK. Scott, Gabriel, Kevin and the whole gang Thank You All for your kindness and making shopping at the Muskogee OK Bestbuy a positive and wonderful shopping experience!! This Apple Pencil is much better than the last generation. It’s built way better and is way higher quality. It’s also great that there aren’t any buttons or switches to turn it on or off. Another plus is that it no longer has the end cap where you have to stick it into the iPad charging port to charge the pencil. The pencil just magnetically attaches to the side of the iPad and keeps charged while also conveniently storing the pencil when not in use. When you take the pencil off the side, it automatically turns on and is ready to use. Very simple!

Outstanding item that has a long battery life, is user friendly, and easily works with my writing style. I am much more pleased with this item than I ever expected. I recently upgraded to the Pencil Pro due to a new iPad, but still am happy with this purchase.

Good but the pencil can squeak during use

Back in October of 2021, I got the iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (5th generation) (256 GB) and the Apple Pencil (2nd generation). I was able to get a student discount because I have a dual enrollment at a local community college. My main reason for getting an iPad was to start digital art. I’ve never really done digital art in the past and have recently started using Procreate. The main complaint I have so far from 4 months of using these products together is that I don’t like how the pencil squeaks against the surface of the iPad. This doesn’t seem to be a problem for my friend, who does digital are frequently, with an older generation iPad and older Apple Pencil. I’m not sure what is causing the squeaking but the “nails on a chalkboard” noises affect the ways or motions I can draw with. Another aspect I’d like to see improved in future iterations of the Apple Pencil is the weight and strain from use. This isn’t a huge issue as using any stylus can cause hand strain but I hope the next generation Apple Pencil can be lighter to reduce pains from extended periods of use. Other than these problems, the iPad and pencil have been a great investment and have allowed me to create a lot of digital art. It’s very intuitive to use and the learning curve is definitely not as steep as its competitors (such as drawing tablets). My one suggestion is to extend the student discount to high school students and maybe have larger discounts for people who would love to use the product but may not be comfortable splurging. If there’s any way to reduce the squeaking noises, I’d really appreciate some advice. Thank you so much!

    Surprising utility of Apple Pencil

.I have been using this with my iPad Apple air 4. I use it both as a stylus, and drawing tool. I have found that it makes operations like text selection, and text editing remarkably easier than before. I also find that the new scribble function has great utility. I have not been using Very much for drawing at this time. The only issue I have, is that the iPad Air surface is very slippery and it takes a while to get used to writing smoothly and accurately with the - pencil which also has very little friction. Wireless charging is also an excellent new feature as well as the ability to magnetically place the pencil on the iPad.

The Apple Pencil is an absolute game-changer! Whether you’re an artist, student, or professional, this stylus makes note-taking, drawing, and designing effortless. The precision is incredible, with virtually no lag, making it feel just like writing on paper. The pressure sensitivity and tilt functionality allow for dynamic strokes, which is perfect for digital art. It also pairs seamlessly with my iPad, and the battery lasts a long time before needing a quick charge. If you use your iPad for anything creative or productive, this is a must-have accessory. Highly recommend!

This works great with the iPad! Draws well and is very versatile. Just don’t let it charge while you’re in your vehicle, lol. I learned the hard way that the Apple Pencil charging affects most modern car key fobs. Simple fix, just remove the pencil from charging while traveling.

This thing is amazing. My daughter uses the pencil with her ipad air and photoshop for drawing. It is amazing the creations she is able to make. The charging is quick and simple just by connecting it magnetically to the ipad. Using it is super easy and took my daughter who is autistic all of 1 hour to figure out. This saved us hundreds vs getting a separate specialized drawing tablet.

Better than  Pencil (1st Gen) in all facets!

I purchased the new iPad Pro 11" after doing very little research on it. Due to it having the upgraded A12X chip as well as including "Face ID", I was purchasing it regardless therefor I didnt realize I could not use my 1st gen  Pencil on the new iPad Pro. I honestly was bummed out because after finally bitting the bullet and purchasing the 1st gen  Pencil, I knew right then that I would never use a iPad again without it. Keep in mind that I am by no means a artist or remotely artistic in the least bit, and honestly cant even draw a decent stick man. I solely use the 1st gen  pencil as a basic stylus and writing utensil for taking notes, but I LOVE it and cant go without using it now. Well with all of that being said, I immediately went back up to best buy and purchased the new 2nd gen  pencil, and I honestly couldnt be happier with its improved performance, as well as the other substantial changes made to it as well. When I was using the 1st gen  Pencil, I would only charge it with the iPad tucked away somewhere safe and when the condition(s) were guaranteed that no one would get near it because I was so afraid of the lightning charge port getting snapped off inside of the iPad. The reason I bring that up is because the addition of wireless charging in the 2nd gen  Pencil is a game changer, and it made me fall in love with the Pencil even more than I thought I could, prior to owning this new one. Another small improvement I thoroughly enjoy is the new "Matte" look and feel, which considerably cuts down on the original  Pencils "Slickness" feel. One last tiny thing I love with the new  Pencil is not having the back cap that has to be kept up with and prob 90% or more people eventually lost. All in all, if your looking at purchasing the new  Pencil stop hesitating, and just do it..... You wont be disappointed. -John Posey

This pen is so luxurious and easy to use on ipads. Being a college student this pen has provided me with amazing note taking and easy accessibility on other uses. This apple pen does not even near compare to any other stylus, it is light weight easy to work with and great for all handwriting types. I would recommend this pen over everything.
