Works just as well as the first generation Apple Pencil. While I really wish I could have used the Apple pencil from my old iPad Pro, it is really convenient to just set the pencil on top of the iPad to charge. Connects very smoothly and works very well. Also, the double tap to change tools is great.

I love my Apple Pencil I use it every single day and it always comes in handy I love how precise it is and how easy it is to use

Not needed but fun to express drawing when they come to mind. Easy to use and sleek magnetic connection to Apple Ipads.

I miss the weight and heft of the 1st generation Apple Pencil; this one is a lot lighter and the one flat side causes my hand to cramp in ways the earlier version never did. However, the magnetic charging is a way better setup than having to plug the old version into the side of the iPad so it protrudes awkwardly. Be careful what kind of case you get for your iPad; the first one I got did not allow the Apple Pencil to fit snug enough to the magnetized panel on the top of the iPad, so the Apple Pencil's battery died on me. I had to take the case back and buy a better designed one to let the Apple Pencil sit snugly against the magnet, and haven't had another problem like that since. This Apple Pencil charges pretty quickly and the pressure sensitivity and range of different holding angles work great as they did with the first generation Apple Pencil, but I will say this version seems to be even more sensitive/precise than the earlier iteration. It's also really nice that the extra replacement nibs I bought will not go to waste, as they fit both the first and second generation Apple Pencils.

Love how functional this is! I worried I would need a glove for my hand while making art but this device is so compatible with my ipad and can tell the difference between the stylus and my hand no problem. Great for art but not the best as just a mouse.

You must have a pen if you own a ipad, you can draw and is amazing

I bought this for my daughter to go with her new iPad Air and she loves it! She loves how smooth it is, how well it works, and that you can attach it magnetically to the iPad to charge. No ther pen/pencil/stylus would do! A must have for you digital artist!

It is light, and you don’t need to use an adaptor to charge the pencil (it is difficult to find adaptor from Apple store unless you purchase Apple Care+). You Just put on your iPad Air to charger. Easy to use. Especially I get it on sale. I will recommend.

Love this pencil!! I love that I can point to letters and type quickly. Also great for marking up pictures and documents!! Since it is magnetic, it is easy to charge and is never displaced.

I’m very satisfied with the new generation Apple Pencil. I purchased the UAG iPad Pro (2018) Case and the Pencil is a great match or addition. It’s easy to use. Easy to hold. Not too big/long. Yes, it’s expensive, but that’s Apple for you. I waited for my Tax Refund to buy me something special. LOL.

I haven’t used it yet. Purchased this item at the same time that I ordered a 2021 iPad Pro 12.9. The pen was available and was picked up. The iPad is back ordered and has not come in yet. I will update this review once I have a chance to us it.

I was skeptical, however it worked as advertised. Ordered and shipped within specified timeframe.

The design of the pen fits well in the hand. It’s got a flat side that makes it easier to hold and more natural. The double tap feature to change to the eraser in both procreate and notes make this easy to use and versatile, no flipping required. Awesome product and great for designers.

Personally, This was my first iPad purchase and therefore my first stylus/pen purchase. My family has had iPads for years and I have used them frequently. I didn’t need to purchase a keyboard for the iPad as I didn’t see myself using it much so I decided to go with the Apple pen 2 and I couldn’t be more happy. It brings a whole new dimension to the iPad with its seamless integration into iPad OS software. Using the Apple pen made using the iPad so much more fun. Being able to write like your putting pen to paper to write notes or just to use it to write out a we address instead of using the keyboard makes the iPad much more enjoyable. Drawing is very fun and I see much more integration into many other apps in the future. The pen may not be for everyone but I fell in love with it very quickly!

This was a must have for me I really enjoy how great it works with IOS. I am not a artist at all I just use it to do homework so i can chicken scratch all my notes and I know I will be able to pull it up on any device. The pencil itself has a double tap feature that allows you to switch from writing and erasing. Depending on how you hold the device it changes the way you write as well as how firm you are writing. The battery is amazing and I’m so happy the got rid of that dumb way of charging as it just connects to the my iPad and charges wirelessly.

Nice design that allows for magnetic attachment to the ipad pro and charging. This flat side for attachment also prevents rolling when compared to the 1st generation pencil. Battery life is good. The tips are quick to damage if dropped from about 3-5 feet.

Works way better than the "off-brand" pencils. Convenient charging via magnetic spot on side of Ipad.. no more usb cables. Very responsive and the no-button side touch easily switches between pencil and eraser. Expensive, but worth it.

I’m retirement age with a bit of arthritis in my hands. The pencil make a huge difference. It allows me to accurately enter data and I don’t have to worry about fat fingers.

I admit, I had the gen 1 pencil and never really used it. I wound up selling it as I am not an artist. However, I purchased Apple 2 pencil and I can actually use it for more stuff, like note taking. I like that you can click the pencil on the black screen and the notes app comes up. Awesome pencil.

love this pencil, have had it for almost a year and it's worked throughout the year so far. haven't even had to change my nub on the pen but I don't use it as much as I did. battery lasts a long time and it's the best Apple pencil
