    Moving forward you will need the 2Gen Apple pencil as the iPad ecosystem evolves. The onboard charging option is a great addition.

    Way better than the first generation pencil. Matte texture makes it easier to hold as well as the tap feature to switch between things is great.

    Much nicer than the 1st generation pencil. Be cautious if you drop them on a hard surface though since they don't seem to be super durable.

    I have a couple of “knock off” pencils for my I Pad Pro but paid the extra and got the Apple Pencil and to me it is worth the extra costs

    It is such a relief to charge the pencil without a port. However I had to get a new pencil. Only thing I would like to see more of is free apps for the pencil.

    My daughter uses it with her new iPad Pro to draw. She says it is very responsive and she loves the shading feature, just like a real pencil.

    2nd Edition is used for the latest Ipad Air. I bought 1st edition but it was not compatible.
