I tried off-brand pencils and while they worked there was always a feature (or three) missing. I hunkered down and brought the OG and I could not be happier. Works exactly as intended - as most apple products do. Nothing against those off-brand pencils, but if you want the real deal...buy the real deal!

This pencil paired with the iPad Air (2020) is a beautiful combo. I love using it. A bit expensive but it feels solid and lovely.

Honestly I’m not used to the whole pencil just yet but I can say that it’s really good even as a first timer. It’s a really good tool to write your notes on your iPad when you don’t want to type and a good way to keep the screen clean as well if you don’t want to scroll with your fingers.

Purchased the Apple pencil for my 13yr old daughter, she loves using it to draw on her iPad. Use of it is very smooth and accurate.

I recently upgraded my iPad Pro so I had to upgrade my pencil as well. I prefer the feel of the first generation pencil over this once because it feels more natural and not like a primary school pencil. It takes some getting used to if you’re coming from the previous pencil. However, I do love the super fast charging and the fact it magnetically attaches to the iPad. The first generation pencil didn’t charge as fast and was awkward when plugging it into the iPad to charge. Overall, great buy and it’s still the best pencil on the market.

My wife bought a new ipad air over the holidays and we bought the pencil to go with it as it was on sale. It took her a few days or maybe weeks to open it because she didn't think she needed it. Well I will just say this... she has yet to put that thing down. Even I was surprised and thought to myself wow it must be that good. I have no idea what she uses it for but she's always like pass my pencil if its not with her when she is on the ipad. So I will this her stamp of approval!
