Customers are saying

Customers regard the product highly for its exceptional ease of use, strong overall performance, and efficient charging capabilities. Its excellent compatibility with the iPad, good battery life, and accuracy for tasks like drawing and note-taking are also frequently highlighted. However, the price is a significant concern for many, and some users have reported issues with the tip's durability and connection. While lag is generally not a problem, a few customers find its size to be a drawback.

Apple Pencil 2nd Gen: Unmatched Performance and Co

The Apple Pencil 2nd Generation is the perfect tool for digital art, note-taking, and design work, combining Apple’s advanced technology with meticulous design. The pencil is sleek and refined, offering a comfortable grip that feels natural in the hand. Its matte surface and anti-slip texture ensure long hours of use without strain. One of the most convenient features is its magnetic attachment to the iPad, allowing for easy storage and automatic charging. This magnetic design enhances convenience by ensuring the pencil is always within reach. The performance of the Apple Pencil 2 is exceptional. It offers faster and more accurate response times compared to the 1st generation. Whether you're drawing, writing, or designing, the pressure and tilt sensitivity are incredibly responsive, creating a natural drawing experience that mimics pen and paper. Fine details can be easily captured, making it an essential tool for digital artists. The charging mechanism has been greatly improved. Unlike the 1st generation that required physically plugging into the iPad, the 2nd generation charges automatically when attached magnetically to the side of the iPad. This is not only convenient but also ensures the pencil is always ready for use, with an easily visible charging status. The 2nd generation Apple Pencil is durable and robust. It remains responsive even under slight pressure or subtle drawing movements, and its lack of physical buttons prevents wear and tear from repeated use. The build quality is top-notch, offering long-lasting performance. While the price is on the higher end, the value it offers justifies the cost. For digital artists or anyone involved in detailed design work, the investment is worthwhile. Additionally, the perfect integration with the iPad means users get unparalleled performance compared to other devices. One minor drawback is that the magnetic attachment may not work as effectively with some iPad cases, leading to slight issues with secure attachment. If this could be improved, the product would be even more flawless. The Apple Pencil 2nd Generation delivers exceptional performance in writing, drawing, and design tasks. Its seamless compatibility with the iPad makes it an indispensable tool for digital work. Though it’s priced higher, it offers great value, making it a fantastic choice for digital artists, students, and professionals alike.

Great for clinical note taking during sessions

Okay, I honestly love this thing. I have been practicing with it, and I think the drawback is that I tend to make a lot of mistakes when I'm writing, so it doesn't know how to interpret my goofs/corrections as I'm writing, and this means some clean-up editing after the fact. I'm ok with that. I love that I can choose to write during clinical sessions and have it go directly into my online EMR notes. It's not perfect, but it is an improvement over typing during telemedicine sessions. It's so much more organic than typing. It's also fun to be able to draw and write in notes. I'm sure it has lots of uses, but my primary use is concurrent EMR clinical notes, and I recommend it for that if you're looking for a less annoying, more organic and connected experience for you and your clients during telemedicine sessions.

The pencil is awesome and I would not go with out. I use it for many of my apps, etc. It saves the screen from getting finger prints all over it. I love the fact it sit right on top of the iPad “Magnet” and it stays. It also charges right in its place. When the iPad is being charged so is your pencil. Can’t beat that.

    The Only Pencil for iPad

This pencil was made for the serious iPad user. There are many pencils out there that can be used with iPads. However the only feature the non Apple pencils can boast of is lower prices. None of these second market less expensive pencils come close to matching the performance, functionality, and convenience of the real Apple Pencil. I know, I’ve tried several of them. Don’t be fooled with the promise of these less expensive pencils and get the real thing. The real value in the Apple Pencil is in all it does for the users without compromise.

The Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) in White is an absolute delight for anyone who values precision and seamless integration with their iPad. Its sleek, minimalist design feels premium and comfortable in hand, making it a joy to use for hours. really good and i use it for everything with my ipad air! what i love the most is the double tap feature when writing notes and how im easily able to switch between pen and erased. the pressure and tilt sensitivity are also added pluses if you’re an artist or like to make your notes look nice! what i definitely love the most about this is the fact that it just stayed charged and charging all the time because it just magnetically attaches to the ipad and charges 24/7. i really can’t see myself needing anything other type of stylus because of the convenience of this pencil! definitely worth it!

    Best Pencil for iPad

This is my first generation 2 iPad Pencil. I had the 1st generation pencil and I got a lot of use out of it. What I really like the most about the Pencil 2 is the magnetic snapping to the edge of the iPad. It syncs and charges at the same time which makes it so much more user friendly not to have to worry about plugging in the pencil to charge it. The 1st generation Pencil had to be plugged in and the plug cap was always a pain to not loose it. I do like the double tap functions of the pencil and also the flat side of the pencil so it doesn't roll off the table when I set it down. I really like this new pencil from Apple.

I love this pencil! Almost a year of daily use and it’s been perfect every time. Super durable, extremely fast to charge, connects super fast, very precise, and the double tap aspect always works perfectly to change the tools I’m using. I am a tattoo artist and this has been a game changer compared to any 3rd party pencil.

i actually purchased this to replace the apple pencil i’ve had the last 4 years. my last one worked perfectly since the day i bought it. i replaced the tip on it to a pointed tip for more of a gel pen feeling along w/ the paper like screen protector and it worked just as great w/ different tips made by different brands. unfortunately, my 2 year old slammed it directly on the tip a couple of times and it damaged the little metal piece that connects the pencil to the tip and is the main component of how the pen works. it’s an unfixable damage. she has been rough w/ it before because she enjoys scribbling on the notes app over the last year and a half. it survived all of that but the slamming directly on the tip, hard even to puncture the screen protector, caused it to be unable to work properly. the moment i realized it was broken, i immediately hopped onto my best buy app because i knew that i could use my best buy card and finance it w/ no APR for 12mo and but just pay it off next pay check. i immediately purchased a new one and picked it up an hour later and i don’t regret it a single bit. i used my apple pencil for many different things on my ipad and it was a no brainer to repurchase as well as i wasn’t about to research and attempt to find a cheaper replacement because i knew exactly what worked and how simple it is to set it to fit YOU and your writing. i have seen some pretty near pencil grippers for it that i will be purchasing because after hours of use after hours of writing w/ pens and pencils at work all day, like any writing utensil, your hand gets a little sore. but that is definitely not due to my apple pencil. i actually left the original tip on it this time just to see how it was and i honestly prefer it over the other purchasable tips! it writes super smooth but i HIGHLY suggest purchasing some sort of screen protector that is made to feel like paper because it makes ALL the difference in how these pens write. it was a bit slick for me w/o screen protector but that’s just me. overall, i love this pencil.. if the one i just purchased were to break today, i’d buy another one and drive the 40 minute drive back to Best Buy to pick it up TONIGHT.

Although the Apple Pencil is really expensive, I have had mine for 3 months already and I haven't had a single issue with it. I use it every day to take notes and sketch on my iPad. Some days, I'll reach into my backpack and realize that my Pencil hasnt been connected to my iPad and so it hasn't been charging, but even then it'll have enough battery to power through the day! I got the paper screen cover so it feels like I'm writing on paper when I take notes/sketch, and its aweseme. I included a pic of a sketch I worked on! :D

The Apple Pencil is widely praised for its precision and ease of use, especially among artists, designers, and students. The second-generation model is particularly favored for its improved charging method and ergonomic design. Both versions offer a smooth and intuitive experience, but some users note the first-generation model’s charging method as a downside. Overall, the Apple Pencil enhances productivity and creativity for compatible iPad users.

I'm using a Wacom tablet and my iPad Pro to draw. paint and create animations. The Apple Pencil is a great tool. Working with the Pencil I am able to create right on the iPad instead of a blank slate and always having to look up to the monitor. It turns my iPad into a professional drawing tablet that otherwise could cost a lot more money for the same features. It has great features. There is a lot of creative software available in the iPad App Store. This is my second Pencil.

I bought The Apple Pencil 2nd Generation to go with my 5th generation iPad Air. This is a very good design and handles well in hand. I love the fact that it charges magnetically on top of the iPad. Everything is great, accept the price. This would be the only deciding factor. If you are a graphic designer, it is a must. If you are someone that just likes to dabble, you might want to save up.

This is my experience using the Apple Pencil but it's exceeded my expectations! In the past, I dreaded using digital pens/stylus because there was always a slight lag or not accurate to touch. I've been so impressed by the Apple pencil on the iPad. Especially with the new updates, it has been a dream using this for note-taking and graphic design work. High recommended!

I love this and how accurately it writes all my 4th generation iPad Air. I have not used any of the other brands, but you certainly can’t go wrong with this. The price tag felt a little high, but it totally feels worth it now that I have the pencil in my possession
