2nd gen is definitely better than 1st gen, especially for the magnetic charge with iPad Pro. Bought the paper screen and a pen cover and this has been a joy replacing traditional paper and pen

I like it. I think there’s still a lot of improvements that Apple needs to take care of with its functionality with the iPad (capitalization with draw to text, a lot of Apple apps don’t have a clear clue on how to function when both skin and the tip of the pencil are touching the screen, etc). But I really love the feel and sturdiness of the 2nd generation. I would imagine this would be phenomenal for hardcore artists. The only thing I hate is the wireless charging. I wish I could charge the pencil with a wire or have the option to do so. Otherwise, it charges wirelessly on my iPad, which drains the battery of my iPad. And there is no option to have the pencil not charge while magnetized to the iPad.

Very happy with the pen. I am really please the iPad, pencil, and keypad can be charged with one source thru the keypad charging port.

It paired instantly, the ease of use is a huge plus. Helps with drawing and writing.

This apple pen is very well designed, I love the magnetic design so you will never lose the pen if you have the designed Apple iPad it is for. If you are in school it is the best tool for taking good notes electronically!

i love how it charges from the tablet and stays on the tablet with the cover i have on the ipad. i have documents that i need to sign from time to time. all i have to do is grab my pen and sign them!

Works great almost as good as a regular pencil for drawing. I bought 2 one for me and one for wife.

If you’re an artist, I could see this being a necessary tool. For me, it is nothing more than the occasional note taking tool. Very useful for jotting down quick botes.
