I recently upgraded my iPad Pro so I had to upgrade my pencil as well. I prefer the feel of the first generation pencil over this once because it feels more natural and not like a primary school pencil. It takes some getting used to if you’re coming from the previous pencil. However, I do love the super fast charging and the fact it magnetically attaches to the iPad. The first generation pencil didn’t charge as fast and was awkward when plugging it into the iPad to charge. Overall, great buy and it’s still the best pencil on the market.

If your buying an iPad Pro the new Apple Pencil is a must have- there is no lag and it is so easy to start using with a very little learning curve.

Perfect pencil. Can be uncomfortable after writing for a while so getting a rubber grip might be useful but you won’t be able to charge it on the iPad without removing it. Sometimes, it doesn’t register my taps on the pencil itself but it’s not the worst. Can’t complain, it works well. People recommend using a paper textured screen protector with the iPad but I’ve read it wears down the tip often and requires premature replacement.

Great item, I use the pencil all the time. Very easy and smooth to use plus it allows pin point selection.

The purchase was made as a graduation gift for my granddaughter. She will be graduating from college in December. She plans to attend P.A. school next. This Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) along with the new iPad Pro she received from us earlier will help her in her studies and on her clinical rounds. I'm told this is the newest in medical student technology. Looking forward to her reactions.

If you are planning on taking drawing on the ipad seriously, this is the pencil for you dont look anywhere else, the new usb C pencil does not have pressure sensitivity and this one does, if you just writte then get the other one for cheaper but if you draw then buy this one
