Owned for 7 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.being able to magnetically attach to the tablet for charging is easier to deal with instead of removing the cap and plugging in to charge. i purchased a case for my ipad pro that holds the pencil & charges it. it does draw from the pad power, but if you want to avoid that, just turn the flat side away from the pad so it doesn't charge. put the flat side toward the pad to charge the pencil

A little better than original

I like that it charges while attached to my ipad and I have a case that will hold it, so it makes it a bit more accessible. I use it with a new ipad mini.
