I've been using the original Apple Pencil with an older iPad Pro for almost 5 years now (original 12.9 iPad Pro). This pencil seems about the same from a functional standpoint, however I really like that now they can be charged by attaching to the side of the iPad vs having to take off the cap and plug it into the lightning connector. Overall think that there is no better tablet/stylus experience out there!

Apple pencil 2 works very well and is very easy to charge on the side of the iPad.

We have the 1st gen Apple Pencil. It works great but it was a pain to charge (having to stick it to the lightning port at the bottom of the iPad). Bought the newest iPad for gaming and drawing and I’ve heard great things about this newer pencil. It has a flat side like the old #2 pencils from school, so it doesn’t roll off a flat surface. The pencil charges directly to the side of the iPad. Heads up: If you plan on adding a screen protector to your iPad, the pencil will not work!

The apple pencil is such of great use for taking notes, drawing and editing photos!

this is a great improvement over first version. hard to lose it since it always can stay attached and charges while attached.

pen works like a charm really like the magnetized side to charge it as well as the double tap feature to erase.

So happy with my new iPad pen. I lost my first one and I bought a knock off which didn't work well at all. My husband decided to get me an apple ipen and I'm so happy!! Definitely works perfectly and well worth getting the real one'

Never used a pencil qith a tablet, but this is awesome. And recharging is as easy as sticking it to the side with a magnet.

Used the Apple Pencil 1 and the Apple Pencil 2 is very accurate. I use it on my iPad Pro X and there is zero latency or lag.

I was hesitant at first if it was worth it to shell out the extra money to buy an Apple Pencil when I could just buy an off-brand for cheaper. The Best Buy salesman convinced me, and I’m so glad he did! The 2nd generation Apple Pencil is awesome! It charges magnetically on the side of your iPad, so I know I won’t lose it and I don’t have to worry about it accidentally snapping off like I feel like I would be with the 1st generation having to charge from the iPad charging port. It’s perfectly calibrated to my iPad and works so well. It also has some other cool features, like if you double tap on the pencil it will toggle back between drawing and erasing. I love my Apple Pencil and have had zero issues with it. I seriously cannot imagine having my iPad without it now. It opened up so many new possibilities for use for me. It’s definitely worth it!

I bought this with my ipad pro in prep for my first year of college, intending to minimize my paper use for school. So far with the note taking apps Ive used, it works great! Ive had it for almost a year now and it hasn’t given me much issue yet. My only problem is that the apple pencil tips tend to wear down easily, especially with my paper-like screen protector. So, keep some extra tips in handy if you’re gonna do some heavy usage with this.
