My pencil has died and won’t charge at all. Would I be able to get it fixed any way possible with my apple care? Online says apple products should have a year warranty but Best Buy account says my warranty was for a month?

At first, i was hesitant in purchasing being that i’m not an artist, however, i’m happy i did. Anything Apple touches, is GOLD!

31 days and the pen is cracked in 2 places. Never abused. Defective. Best Buy did nothing but tell me to call Apple. Apple says its damaged. Out of luck.

My pen is no longer usable after a few months. Not recommend buying this product.

It was a open box item but the description stated that it was in “excellent“ condition. But when I received the product, it had multiple deep scratches on it. If this is what Bestbuy consider to be excellent condition, I’d hate to see what a “good” condition looks like.

Does not compatible with ipad 6th gen. I dont have any other device that would compatible with this item, therefore, i was not able to test it out how it works.

has hairline cracks from the expanding battery and feels very hot... going to be isolating it

One of the major upgrades from the previous model is the double tap feature. This allows me to quickly switch between tools and customize my workflow. It's a small feature but it makes a big difference in my productivity. However, my only complaint is that I have to change the tips often. This is not a huge issue, but it can be a bit of a hassle. I wish the tips lasted longer or could be replaced less frequently. Overall, I would give the Apple Pencil 2nd generation a solid 4/5 stars. Despite the minor inconvenience of changing tips often, the sleek design, lightweight feel, and convenient features make it a worthwhile investment for any artist or designer.

Must have if you own / plan on buying an iPad. Having the extra capabilities is worth the price alone. Apple Pencil sports a clean, thought out design, along with a decent weight. Personally, I think it lacks ability to fully personalize preferences. The standard settings are simple, not to be confused for a bad thing. It is a very capable tool, that serves its function in a very simple syple. I digress, I would also like to add that the pencil is able to attach to the iPad via magnets. Allowing for a way to store the pencil away and simultaneously charge (make sure to consider if your specific model permits this feature). This lowers risk of losing/misplacing the pencil. It's nice having it secured, fully charged, and in the same spot. Classic Apple design, to ability to replace everyday methods with tech. The Apple Pencil elevates day to day iPad usage. If you are interested in being able get the most functionality from the iPad, Apple Pencil is the key!!

Got this pencil and it was a fake going to return to a store and they denied it so I have to go back to the original

As a digital artist, I use the Apple Pencil primarily to illustrate in procreate. It hands down beats my Wacom tablet! It has a great weight and feel, is super accurate with alignment and pressure. I love the simplicity and the fact that it charges by just magnetically clipping to the side of the iPad Pro. Only downside would be the double tap feature switches my pen to erase... sometimes my jostling of the pencil in my hand makes it switch inadvertently- while other times I try to switch it by double tapping and it takes a few tries. Just a minor gripe though, and I’m sure there’s probably a way to change the settings that I have been to lazy to figure out. Also, if it wasn’t for my illustrations im not sure when else I would use this. You can use it to take notes or convert handwriting to text or just use the pencil to point to things instead of your finger... but I’d have a hard time recommending such an expensive item for just those uses. If you like to draw or paint digitally, however- this pencil is a must!

I recently picked up the 2nd generation Apple Pencil to use with my iPad Air. The Pencil is a tad larger than a number 2 pencil, but weighs more. It has a slightly grippy texture and a narrow flat strip along one side that feels good in my hand. I wish that Apple had made the tip with a more rubbery so it did not feel slick on the tablet glass. It is a pleasure to use the Pencil to write or draw with. It feels natural. The pressure sensitivity is responsive and adds to the "natural" feel and muscle memory. I have mine set so the double tap switches the tip to the eraser and I got used to it very quickly. The only way to charge the pencil is on the top/right side of the iPad. There is a satisfying click when the Pencil snaps into position, and while the magnets are strong I do not trust them to hold the pencil in place and find myself checking to make sure it is still there when putting my iPad in my case or when removing it. I have take my iPad to a meeting only to discover that I left the Pencil on my desk. Battery life is amazing. I never go through a charge during a day of use and since the Pencil charges while it is attached I never have an issue. At $130.00 this is not a budget friendly device. You can purchase a good Wacom stylus for $65.00 but they are not interchangeable. I would only recommend the Apple Pencil only if you have an iPad that is compatible with it AND you are going to use it for more than note taking or simple sketching. There are cheaper pens that are good enough for taking notes on an iPad that are half as expensive - the Logitech crayon comes to mind.
