Definitely a huge improvement I’ve the Apple Pencil 1. 1. Love the magnetic docking on the side of the iPad Pro. 2. Love the wireless charging while docked to the iPad Pro 3. Love the easy and no hassle pairing of the Apple Pencil to the iPad Pro. Simple as docking the pencil, and touching yes/agree. Done. 4. Extremely low latency and better improved response over the first gen Apple Pencil. 5. Love the solid unibody design. No small parts to lose this time. 6. Touch gestures are extremely nice and convenient. Gestures can be programmed to do other functions as well. 7. The flatten side of the Apple Pencil 2 makes easy grip and the Finish is matte which means way less slipping. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who has a use for the Apple Pencil. I like to use mine for photography and touching up pictures. Extremely nice accessory to have for the iPad Pro.

The Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) is a big deal for artists like me. It feels so natural and works super well for creating digital art. It's cool because it can sense how hard I'm pressing and the angle I'm holding it, just like real art tools. Charging is easy with magnets, so no worries about running out of battery. It has this nifty double-tap thing that helps me switch tools faster. Though it costs a bit, it's totally worth it for artists who want to make awesome art on their iPad. I love it and recommend it to other artists too!

I had bought a new iPad Pro 12” tablet and the old pencil seemed to have issues working with it. Apple suggested that I get the second generation pencil for the best compatibility for the new iPad Pro. It connected perfectly and without any issue. I love how it magnetically attaches to the iPad Pro and even charges it. So much better than the old pencil where I had to plug it in. I was always so afraid I would break off the lightning connector in the lightning port of the iPad. I even bought a charging cradle but it didn’t last long before it quit working. This new pencil is wonderful. I only wish you could replace the tip with soft rubber tips like many other styluses to give alternate tip feels. Like if I am drawing with markers and brushes. It would certainly feel a lot better.

The Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) has completely transformed how I use my iPad. It feels incredibly natural in hand—with smooth, accurate responsiveness that makes writing, drawing, and navigating feel effortless. Whether I’m taking notes, sketching ideas, or marking up documents, it’s precise and reliable every time. I love the magnetic attach-and-charge feature. It makes storing and charging so easy—no cables, no fumbling. The double-tap gesture is surprisingly helpful too; switching between tools feels intuitive and seamless. The build quality is solid, and the design fits beautifully with my iPad. If you’re serious about creativity, productivity, or just want a better way to interact with your screen, this Apple Pencil is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

Draws like a dream in Procreate. I purchased an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil to have a portable, digital sketchpad, and the drawing experience with the pencil is incredibly fluid and smooth. The pencil is easy to hold and has good weight to it so as to feel substantive in your hand, rather than floaty and delicate. The touch functions on the pencil are pretty useful, and I love how it charges magnetically on the iPad. The only downside is that it has a relatively short battery life - it drains constantly even when not in use while the iPad is off, and in terms of active drawing time, it won’t last more than 7-8 hours, I’d think. That being said, I can’t complain because it charges to full in 15 minutes. Overall, the drawing experience is top notch, and that’s my primary focus.

This stylus component for my iPad Air is quite nifty. It allows for me to take handwritten notes both for personal use and work use. The addition of the double-tap gesture when upgrading from the 1st generation Pencil is useful and adds to the fluidity when using notes or drawing apps. I like to use it to switch between my pencil and the eraser function. The battery life is good and the wireless charging capability is much more convenient than the 1st generation’s design. Overall, this is definitely recommended and it’s worth waiting if you can find a decent price drop.

Here All the good news about the New Apple Pencil (2nd Gen) -Pairs instantly with IPad 11 Pro -Easy charging on side of IPad -Comfortable to hold -Writes flawlessly -Good balance The Bad: -A bit expensive I use my Apple Pencil 2 everyday as I take notes with my IPad Pro 11. The Apple Pencil 2 is a definite upgrade to the Apple Pencil 1 almost just because you can charge the pencil by attaching it to your IPad. This feature alone makes the Apple Pencil worth buying. The Apple Pencil 2 also has no lag and write flawlessly. It is very comfortable to hold. The only downside is the pencil is a bit expensive but that’s common for most Apple products. Overall, I would recommend the Apple Pencil 2 if you have a new version of the IPad Pro.

I can't describe how much I love the Apple pencil! I previously had a knock off ipad pencil from Amazon and oh boy what a difference it makes with the apple one. The Apple pencil makes your handwriting better and makes it easier to write on the ipad. Also love the new design, it's now matte and seems lighter in weight compared to the 1st gen Apple Pencil

The Apple Pencil is an absolute game-changer for iPad users who are looking to unlock their creative potential. As an artist, I can confidently say that the Apple Pencil has revolutionized the way I create and interact with my iPad. First and foremost, the precision and responsiveness of the Apple Pencil are unparalleled. It effortlessly translates my every stroke onto the iPad screen, providing an incredibly natural and fluid drawing experience. Whether I’m sketching, illustrating, or taking handwritten notes, the Apple Pencil captures the subtlest details with impressive accuracy. The design of the Apple Pencil is both sleek and ergonomic, making it comfortable to hold for extended periods. Its lightweight construction and balanced feel give it a premium quality that enhances the overall drawing experience. Additionally, the magnetic attachment feature ensures that the Apple Pencil is always within reach and conveniently charges when connected to the iPad. One standout feature is the pressure sensitivity of the Apple Pencil. It allows me to vary line thickness and shading by simply adjusting the pressure applied, resulting in a level of control and depth that was previously unachievable with other stylus options. The Apple Pencil seamlessly integrates with various creative apps, offering an extensive range of tools and functionalities. The palm rejection technology ensures that only the Apple Pencil’s input is registered, eliminating any accidental marks from my hand resting on the screen. While the Apple Pencil is primarily geared towards artists and designers, it’s also a fantastic tool for note-taking and annotating documents. Its precise input and seamless integration with productivity apps make it an indispensable asset for students and professionals alike.

I use the Apple Pencil 2nd generation for business note taking almost exclusively though it can be used for substantially more than that from my understanding. My review is based solely on the note taking. It's magnetic charge feature is fantastic. It is also great to hold a pencil that both looks and feels like pencil. It's functionality seems great as well. I really like it. The only reason I don't give it a 5 star rating is it's price. I understand research and development may sometimes be costly but honestly notwithstanding the advancement of this technology $119 plus tax for something with so little in the way of raw materials seems extreme. I have no idea how long this pencil or its battery will last and a few times it has required me to reboot and attach the iPad to get it to recognize and connect to my iPad again. That being said, I did buy it and I am happy with the product. If it lasts 2-3 years without battery or device failure then it may well be worth it but certainly not everyone is not going to shell out that kind of money for such a small device.

I love using the Apple Pencil with my iPad Pro. It makes scribbling, doodling and writing so much easier. It's just the perfect size and weight and feels natural in hand. In the right app, you can use the pencil tilted for thicker strokes and straighten it for thinner lines. You can also press it down a little harder for denser lines. The applications are many. To charge, just bring it close to the one of the sides of the iPad and it attaches itself to the iPad magnetically and starts charging immediately. That easy! Excellent companion to my iPad.

This is the first time I have purchased an Apple Pencil, I am using it primarily for taking notes on a 4th Gen iPad Air, but with the intention of improving some artistic abilities especially with horticultural illustrations and drawings. It works very well. But, let's compare a situation here: My husband recently upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, which included the S-Pen with that tablet. Why can't Apple include the Pencil with the purchase of some of their higher-tier iPads? Or at least offer a substantial discount to customers on the Pencil when purchasing an iPad? I like Apple devices, and I have used iPads since the beginning, but the way Apple has to squeeze every dollar out of their customers for their accessories by either charging outrageous and obscene prices for their accessories (such as the Magic Folio Keyboards for iPads), or by not including what can be considered basic accessories with the purchase of their devices, (such as the Apple Pencil) is frustrating at times. I realize Apple's devices and accessories work very well together, and I could have purchased an Apple Pencil stylus knock-off such as the Logitech Crayon, or any other options, but I decided to go for the Apple Pencil when the price dropped below $80 (almost 40% off the regular price), so I could utilize all the features without compromising any features of the Apple Pencil. At Best I can give Best Buy kudos for this being that BB's prices on many Apple devices and either Apple or non-Apple accessories has allowed me to save a good amount of $$$ over many years, so there's a flying unicorn covered with purdy glitter somewhere in this whole situation. 5-Stars on the overall experience and how well it works, but I'm reducing the rating to 4-Stars only because Apple should either include the Pencil when purchasing an iPad, or at least offer a decent discount on a Pencil with initial iPad purchase. I realize I will get many negative reactions from this, but this is how I see the reality of the consumer situation when I purchase anything and compare it to the competition.

I initially bought this for my daughter who loves to draw on my iPad Pro, but ended up using it mostly myself because it is so great and fun to use. I just tap tap tap away; it’s very precise, holds a charge well, and is a comfortable, familiar grip, just like a real pencil or pen. It makes it easier to use to jot down notes and such (unlike those clumsy ones with rubber tips), and just navigate around the internet. My daughter also reports that it is perfect to use when drawing (she uses the Procreate app). It is so convenient to charge it by simply magnetically clicking it to the side of the iPad, not to mention store it out of the way when not needed. I like having the option to use it or not with my iPad.

This pencil is great, I like the updated charging. It’s a bit smaller and lighter than the first generation. I’m not sure if it’s meant to be held in a certain way with the new design but I can’t ever seem to hold it where I can easily tap the flat side. This is personal preference but I feel like it’s a bit light, with the first gen I felt like I was actually holding something it felt sturdy and a bit longer but with this new pencil I feel like it can easily slip out of my hand and it sometimes feels like im not holding it. Over all it’s a a good purchase and essential if you draw or write on an iPad

No issues with the past Apple Pencil but it doesn’t work with our new iPad Air. Just as easy to use and works great for drawing. Amazing how realistic it is drawing, painting, etc. I do like how it charges on the iPad without a cap and adapter that was problematic trying not to loose the cap or adapter on the original Apple Pencil. This latest version has not loose parts, the pencil just sits on top of the iPad ready for use when needed which ultimately gets used more as a result. Family is happy with this and it gets more use than ever. As with all Apple items they cost you, we got on sale and are happy about that.
