Perfect companion to the iPad line

I love using the Apple Pencil with my iPad Pro. It makes scribbling, doodling and writing so much easier. It's just the perfect size and weight and feels natural in hand. In the right app, you can use the pencil tilted for thicker strokes and straighten it for thinner lines. You can also press it down a little harder for denser lines. The applications are many. To charge, just bring it close to the one of the sides of the iPad and it attaches itself to the iPad magnetically and starts charging immediately. That easy! Excellent companion to my iPad.

I initially bought this for my daughter who loves to draw on my iPad Pro, but ended up using it mostly myself because it is so great and fun to use. I just tap tap tap away; it’s very precise, holds a charge well, and is a comfortable, familiar grip, just like a real pencil or pen. It makes it easier to use to jot down notes and such (unlike those clumsy ones with rubber tips), and just navigate around the internet. My daughter also reports that it is perfect to use when drawing (she uses the Procreate app). It is so convenient to charge it by simply magnetically clicking it to the side of the iPad, not to mention store it out of the way when not needed. I like having the option to use it or not with my iPad.

Simple and easy to use. It’s better than using your finger because it is more precise. Charges really quick. It’s a little pricey but still worth it.

This pencil is great, I like the updated charging. It’s a bit smaller and lighter than the first generation. I’m not sure if it’s meant to be held in a certain way with the new design but I can’t ever seem to hold it where I can easily tap the flat side. This is personal preference but I feel like it’s a bit light, with the first gen I felt like I was actually holding something it felt sturdy and a bit longer but with this new pencil I feel like it can easily slip out of my hand and it sometimes feels like im not holding it. Over all it’s a a good purchase and essential if you draw or write on an iPad

Great Connectivity, battery charge durable and it's very smooth to use, detect perfectly your movements. The only bad thing is the price, I think is a little expensive for a pen.

No issues with the past Apple Pencil but it doesn’t work with our new iPad Air. Just as easy to use and works great for drawing. Amazing how realistic it is drawing, painting, etc. I do like how it charges on the iPad without a cap and adapter that was problematic trying not to loose the cap or adapter on the original Apple Pencil. This latest version has not loose parts, the pencil just sits on top of the iPad ready for use when needed which ultimately gets used more as a result. Family is happy with this and it gets more use than ever. As with all Apple items they cost you, we got on sale and are happy about that.

Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) Lightweight and Easy

For any iPad user, the Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) is an essential tool for taking notes, drawing, and other creative activities. As a proud owner of the white variant of the pencil, I must say that it has been a game-changer for me. One of the things I appreciate about the Apple Pencil 2 is its seamless connection and compatibility with my iPad – it starts working instantly as soon as I pick it up. The pencil feels extremely lightweight in my hand, and I can easily switch between taking notes and sketching without any hassle. The added function of double-tapping it to switch between various tools is also very useful. While I was considering purchasing the new Pencil (3rd Generation), I am glad that I decided against it. The 2nd Generation still provides excellent performance. The fact that the 2nd Gen Pencil can be charged wirelessly by just attaching it to the side of my iPad Pro is a convenient bonus, which I won't be getting with the 3rd Gen Pencil. All in all, the Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) is a must-have for anyone using an iPad for artistic or work-related purposes. It's comfortable to use, lightweight, and seamlessly integrates with the iPad. For those who are considering the upgrade to the Pencil 3, I recommend giving the 2nd generation a chance first – you may find that it already meets all your needs.

I recently purchased an open box Apple Pencil (Version 2) for my iPad Pro, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations in terms of functionality and performance. One of the standout features is the ability to effortlessly shift to eraser mode with a simple double-tap gesture. This feature adds incredible convenience and saves time when editing or making corrections while drawing or taking notes. The Apple Pencil (Version 2) offers an incredibly smooth operation on the iPad Pro's screen, delivering an unparalleled writing and drawing experience. The precision and responsiveness of the pencil make it feel like I'm using a traditional pencil or pen on paper. It captures even the finest details, allowing for precise sketches, shading, and intricate artwork. Additionally, the magnetic capability of the Apple Pencil (Version 2) is a game-changer. The pencil securely attaches to the side of the iPad Pro, ensuring it is always within reach and ready for use. This magnetic attachment not only provides a convenient storage solution but also ensures that the pencil is charging wirelessly whenever it's attached. Overall, the Apple Pencil (Version 2) has proven to be an exceptional tool for creative professionals, students, and anyone who uses an iPad Pro for drawing or note-taking. With its seamless transition to eraser mode, smooth operation, and magnetic capabilities, it offers a truly immersive and efficient user experience. highly recommend the Apple Pencil (Version 2) to anyone looking to elevate their digital artistry or enhance their productivity on the ipad pro

I purchased the Ipad air for my daughter who is in chiropractic school and this apple pencil and it has been such a hit. The apple pen feels like a regular pencil and I really like how it is only able to connect to your ipad meaning no one elses pen could write on your ipad. It is super light and my daughter likes how you just have to place the pen near the side of the ipad (its magnetic) and that is how it charges which is so much more convenient than having to lug around another charger cord. I highly recommend anyone who purchases an Ipad get an apple pencil as well.

This Apple Pencil is wonderful. It works well every time! I love that it charges when attached to the iPad on the side of it. It is always at 100%. The battery lasts a real long time, allowing long sessions of drawing or taking notes. I have never run out of battery.

This is the first time I have purchased an Apple Pencil, I am using it primarily for taking notes on a 4th Gen iPad Air, but with the intention of improving some artistic abilities especially with horticultural illustrations and drawings. It works very well. But, let's compare a situation here: My husband recently upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, which included the S-Pen with that tablet. Why can't Apple include the Pencil with the purchase of some of their higher-tier iPads? Or at least offer a substantial discount to customers on the Pencil when purchasing an iPad? I like Apple devices, and I have used iPads since the beginning, but the way Apple has to squeeze every dollar out of their customers for their accessories by either charging outrageous and obscene prices for their accessories (such as the Magic Folio Keyboards for iPads), or by not including what can be considered basic accessories with the purchase of their devices, (such as the Apple Pencil) is frustrating at times. I realize Apple's devices and accessories work very well together, and I could have purchased an Apple Pencil stylus knock-off such as the Logitech Crayon, or any other options, but I decided to go for the Apple Pencil when the price dropped below $80 (almost 40% off the regular price), so I could utilize all the features without compromising any features of the Apple Pencil. At Best I can give Best Buy kudos for this being that BB's prices on many Apple devices and either Apple or non-Apple accessories has allowed me to save a good amount of $$$ over many years, so there's a flying unicorn covered with purdy glitter somewhere in this whole situation. 5-Stars on the overall experience and how well it works, but I'm reducing the rating to 4-Stars only because Apple should either include the Pencil when purchasing an iPad, or at least offer a decent discount on a Pencil with initial iPad purchase. I realize I will get many negative reactions from this, but this is how I see the reality of the consumer situation when I purchase anything and compare it to the competition.

Bought this for my wife after I’ve been using my own for the past 5 years. She’s loving it. Awesome product that’s extremely responsive, charges fast and the battery lasts a pretty long time. You can treat it like a traditional pencil in that it’s pretty tough but the tip is really sensitive and can get damaged if it falls directly on the tip. If you love sketching then definitely try the Apple Pencil with Paperlike.

The Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) has completely changed the way I use my iPad. Whether I’m taking notes, editing photos, or sketching, it feels incredibly natural and responsive. The precision is outstanding, with virtually no noticeable lag, making it feel like writing on paper. I love how it magnetically attaches to the side of the iPad to charge, so it’s always ready when I need it. The double-tap feature to switch tools is also very convenient and saves time while working. Battery life has been excellent, and pairing was instant. While it’s definitely a premium accessory, the quality and performance make it worth the investment. If you own a compatible iPad, this is one of the best accessories you can buy. Highly recommended!

You want to write on your iPad so bad, but all you have are plebeian, normal pencils. We’ve all been there. Fret not, because now there is a pencil worthy of your iPad. The Apple Pencil (2nd Generation). Less round than the previous iteration, the Apple Pencil magnets neatly to the side of your iPad. But it’s not just for looks. It charges while it’s there. Next level Apple engineering. Oh, also you can write on your iPad.

The Good: -Smoother writing -Charging is done on the side of iPad and not through lightning -Shorter and more compact -Double tap setting is very convenient to go from writing to erasing -Battery Charges seems about the same as version 1 The Bad: -No extra tip -Not cheap The Bottom Line: If you have a new iPad, then you should definitely get the Apple Pencil 2 since the writing is smoother and the charging is much easier by snapping it to the side of the iPad. While the Pencil isn’t cheap, it does work very well and I can’t imagine taking notes any other way. Overall I would recommend.

I only recently found out that I can use the iPad Pro as a graphics tablet for the MacBook. However, you can’t use your fingers on the screen when you do this. You absolutely have to use the pencil as a mouse for the iPad in such mode. And it’s soooooooooo amazing. I’ve bought this pencil I think 4 times over the years because I could NOT have an iPad without it. I’ve illustrated in Fresco, Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint for about 2 years now. I’ve most recently started using it as a sculpting tablet in Blender 3D and IVE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER. A year and half learning 3D programs and I finally got to use a graphics tablet to sculpt for the first time thanks to the Apple Pencil!! It’s literally like drawing on paper. I’ve noticed you can replace the tips when they wear out. Heads up, I’ve never once had to do that. They last FOREVER
