THE accessory to have. Worth the $$$

You don’t need to buy an Apple keyboard to use with your iPad Air or Pro or Mini. In fact, I personally prefer a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard for that. But the accessory you truly need to unlock your iPad is an Apple Pencil. Yes, it’s outlandishly expensive. But if you compare using this with a Logitech Crayon or, worse, an off-brand stylus, you may find yourself asking why you didn’t just shell out for the real deal. It’s absolutely a must if you plan to do any kind of art, and the tap “button” makes it easy to program a secondary function like an eraser without constantly having to switch tools. And the coolest feature: the magnetic charger that just satisfyingly snaps the pencil to the side of the iPad and connects and charges it quickly. The best.

If you own the 2018 Ipad Pro, then you need to have this item. The pencil makes the overall experience so much more predominant and better! The pressure sensitivity is incredible and really shines when sketching or note taking. This is so much better than the 1st generation pencil. Great work Apple! The fact that i was able to get this on sale during the holidays for $99 made it an excellent purchase!

Good pencil. I don’t use it much but plan to at some point. Great that it wirelessly charges. I think it’s a little pricey but good quality. Easy to pair like most apple products.

Something about how it writes makes it an actual joy to write with this thing on an iPad. My favorite thing about it is that the page doesn’t drag down as you’re trying to write. Combine that with easy charging done magnetically through the iPad and having it turn on instantly when you detach it makes this worth every penny.

I recently acquired the Apple Pencil Gen 2, and it has completely transformed the way I interact with my iPad Pro. This stylus is not just a tool; it's a piece of innovation that seamlessly integrates with the iPad ecosystem, offering a level of precision and functionality that sets it apart. The magnetic attachment feature is a game-changer. The Apple Pencil effortlessly attaches to the side of the iPad Pro, ensuring that it's always within reach and ready to use. The automatic pairing and charging through this magnetic connection eliminate the need for fumbling with cables or worrying about battery life.

The pencil works seamlessly. It is very fluid and comfortable to hold. I love the ability to just place it on the side of my iPad Pro to charge, connect and see how much battery is remaining. It charges up really fast to a full charge. The use of the customization of features is as simple as double tapping on the pencil itself to bring up what you would like to do. Great product but the price could be a bit lower.

I am so happy I finally decided to go ahead and purchase the apple pen. I’m a realtor and I wanted to try to go more paperless. So instead of varying a bunch of documents and notes in folders , I just jot my notes down in my iPad and copy documents into notes. I like the functiality of this pen. It was on sale at the time I bought it and I’m glad I went for this instead of the USBC apple pen. I like that it can charge by attaching to the side of my iPad Pro. I know I haven’t explored the full functionality of this pen yet but I expect to in time to come.

I had bought a generic stylus pen for my iPad Pro but it wasn’t working well so I decided to buy the real Apple pen for 129. It is an amazing pen and works exceptionally well especially for drawing. It charges itself on the side of the iPad. I really love the pen, I knocked the value down to 4 stars as I thought it was too expensive.

What can I say, its a digital pencil. Great for taking notes, and as a student coming from using pen+paper all the time, it did NOT feel like a compromise to take notes on the iPad — in fact I prefer a little bit of the gliding because it helps me to write a bit faster lol. Probably shouldn’t cost this much, but I’m still happy with it.

I loved the first gen Apple Pencil but this one is way better. The slimmer more flat design makes it more comfortable to grin causing a more natural writing style for me. It’s faster with less lag between moving the pen and drawing. And the best feature is the magnetic charging. It was an inconvenience when I needed to charge my iPad and pencil at the same time.

Absolutely a must if you’re getting an iPad. I bought this with my iPad and I truly couldn’t imagine having an iPad without this. It charges SO fast. The best part is that I don’t actually have to charge it, it magnetically connects to my iPad and charges itself. As someone who is incredibly forgetful that has been a game changer. HOWEVER, the biggest drawback for me is that if you misplace it you are out of luck. Good luck finding it because it’s missing the signature “find my” services. When I tell you this thing is easy to misplace, I’m not even joking. But I’ve become more thoughtful when putting the pencil down and I don’t have that problem anymore. I definitely think you can’t have an iPad without a pencil if you’re planning on being productive.

Writes very good on the newer iPads. Much better design than the original Apple Pencil. Charges wirelessly and magnetically attached to the iPad. One flat side so it does not roll as easily. I am so glad they did away with the lightning charging in the iPad port that the original pencil had. I like the feature where you can double tap and change your tools. Makes it a bit more convenient to use. I also like the Matt white. They should make it in Matt black too though. I also wish there were a few more flat sides so it rolled even less. Overall, a big improvement though!

Being brutally honest: Not much of an improvement over the 1st generation, at least, I think it isn't. Pros: Wireless charging is nice. Magnetic clip and, boop, you're charging. Also sticks onto the iPad so it doesn't fall off. It'd need heck of a bump to come off. Not saying it wouldn't, but it seems very difficult to make it part from its wireless charging magnetic cradle without intentionally removing it. Pencil thickness is reduced which is also nice. The 1st gen was pretty bulky, but solid. This one is thinner and lighter, but curious about how durable it is. Certainly wouldn't try and bend it. Cons: Material is a big step back. The 1st gen was much more "Apple-esque" with its brilliant white and shiny coating. This one is very slippery, it's slipped out of my hands more in a couple weeks of ownership than the 1st gen ever did in a year and a half. It's notoriously bad when you have dry skin, such as when you're on an airplane. No additional tips. Not sure WHY they chose to not include an extra tip like they did last time, but that's rough. Break the tip, you gotta buy more before you can use the pencil again. Having that extra included from the get-go gives you a "fool me twice..." experience that you don't get this time around. "Meh"-s: Double tap to switch: A cool concept, but works maybe 40% of the time. Or, it false-fires. Maybe user error, I dunno. I try to use it but sometimes it's just easier to tap between the "pencil" and "eraser" icons in Notes and/or Notability. Tracking: Doesn't seem to be improved over the 1st gen. Maybe I'm wrong but it doesn't seem to be any more or less accurate which I guess is a good thing? Overall, I think the biggest gripe is that you can't use the 1st gen pencil on the new iPad Pro which I guess isn't the pencil's fault, but still lame nevertheless. It's still a great product and I use it almost daily, and definitely wouldn't replace it with anything else. Just make sure you don't break the tip unless you've bought extras. Side note: My first 2nd gen had a manufacturer defect that caused the transducer to break off if the tip was removed. I returned it and received a new one, although out of caution I haven't removed the tip yet. I'd advise using similar caution with yours, just in case.

Yes, it's expensive, but it's an expense I'm glad I made. I liked the prices of other pencils for the iPad, but I didn't like their charging methods. This product was made for Apple by Apple, so integration and ease of use is superb. I mainly use the pencil for note taking or drawing in ProCreate.

I use this with my ipad and it’s quite amazing. I use my ipad in college as a notebook and it wouldn’t be complete without my apple pencil. the pencil magnets right to my ipad for easy charging and is always at a good battery life even after using it for awhile. the tip hasn’t worn down a bit, i’m not too worried about replacing it anytime soon. he quick touch features on the pencil are very useful for taking quick notes in class. 10/10 would definitely recommend for anyone needing to take notes or even draw on a ipad surface.

The Apple Pencil stands out as a precise and responsive stylus, elevating the iPad experience for creatives and note-takers alike. Its pressure sensitivity and tilt functionality offer a natural drawing experience, while the seamless pairing and magnetic attachment make it user-friendly. The battery life is commendable, and the quick charging feature adds to its convenience. Though it's specifically designed for iPad compatibility and comes with a relatively higher price tag, its performance and functionality make it a worthwhile investment for anyone prioritizing precision in digital tasks.
