    Improvement from First Generation

First of all, why am I buying this pencil from best buy? Here comes a little tip: make sure that you pay attention to you apple pencil once in a while because I lost my original Pencil II several days after purchase. The pencil, overall, is a great improvement from the first generation and it is far better from the first generation imo from all kinds of perspectives. Charging it up is really easy, and it looks far better than first generation. However, considering the cost of the pencil and the ipad pro combined, it's fairly expensive to buy a new combo like this..

I wasn’t sure how much I would use this pencil, but after getting the Good Notes application, I really appreciate how comfortable it is to write with this pencil. It’s also pressure sensitive, which is great for using artistic and photo editing applications. The flat side of the pencil makes it more comfortable to hold than the 1st generation and it doesn’t roll off the table. The flat side also is magnetic and I really like that it attaches to the side of the iPad. I only gave it 4 stars because of the price. Is it worth $129? If you are an artist or do a lot of work that requires precision and pressure sensitivity, it could be worth it. I primarily use it for taking notes, so that’s why I feel somewhat unsure about the cost-to-benefit ratio. Nonetheless, I have used other, less expensive styluses and the Apple Pencil 2 is far more comfortable to hold and offers excellent precision vs the cheaper options.

    If you are a “note-jotter”, its a must-have.

I purchased the Apple Pencil for my iPad Pro knowing that, for $130, it better be useful or it was going back. I take calls from customers all day long, and was constantly jotting notes in my paper notebook. The notes would get lost and easily disorganized. With the Apple Pencil, I can hand-write notes directly onto my iPad and then organize them into files to easily refer to later. For my situation it was an outstanding solution, but if you don’t already do a lot of writing it might not be as worth while to you.

Love this convenient little thing! Compared to previous "touch screen pens" this one is very precise and feels like a real pen in my hand due to the weight. I love how it snaps to the edge of my iPad with the magnet for convenience. All around great purchase if you like to draw on your device.

I love the Apple Pencil products. I feel I have a lot of control when drawing. I use my iPad and pencil every day for hours at a time, and the battery lasts quite a long time. I hardly have to change the nub for months to years at a time. (if I ever did, it's because my dumb self dropped the pencil and it landed on the nub TToTT))

This apple pencil synced to my iPad without me having to prompt the setup myself. So essentially ready to go and sync right out of the box. The Apple Pencil works smoothly on my iPad with a gentle touch without scratching the screen. The writing I've done with the Apple Pencil is very fluid and feels very natural when in use. I've used this in editing photos for my clients via Adobe Creative Suite and wow! I feel that it speeds up my editing with precision and fluid smoothness. I highly recommend!

The good: I love that it charges by magnetically sticking to the side of the iPad. It also works great, and is comfortable in the hand. The not-so-good: When using the iPad, the pencil is in the way when you’re holding it. I often find myself disconnecting it and setting it down somewhere, which makes it possible I could lose the pencil. Also, it doesn’t work for certain gestures on the screen like swiping up from the bottom to reach the Home Screen. You have to use your finger for that. Both aren’t terrible, but the Home Screen gesture would sure be nice if I’m using the Pencil instead of my fingers to navigate on the iPad. I don’t do any artwork with it, so it’s more of a luxury accessory than anything else, but it comes in handy from time to time, especially when you want to markup something on the screen.

Really like that it charges on the iPad. Big deal if you had the first pen; charging it could be a hassle at times. This pen is also great for creating notes that include short hand, pics and/or text, especially if source of the notes is digital. It’s a good addition to the iPad. I caught a deal so the price was extra right!

Very good apple accessory that I have been waiting for for over a year. I am so glad that I got a very good deal in this Christmas season. This pen provides pixel-perfect precision and industry-leading low latency, It makes my drawing, sketching, coloring, taking notes perfectly, It also has a flat edge that attaches magnetically for automatic charging and pairing.

Very good weight. One of the reasons I decided to get the new iPad Air 4 is that I could use this. I primarily do some light photo editing mostly Lightroom. This works great except for finer details. One thing I wish it had was a rear rubber nub as the front point is a little too fine to scroll up and down regular pages. Battery life has been phenomenal. I don’t know if it’s a function of it always resting on the iPad itself charging but I did get a separate sleeve case for it that it stayed in for a couple weeks and had no prob. So far my biggest issue is finding a case that facilitates good storage and charging of the iPad and pencil (as well as smart wake/off) that will also rotate from horizontal to vertical. The ones that I’ve seen I have an elastic type holder for the pencil which is not to secure. Other non rotating ones have extended molded side which are great.

I bought the IPad Pro just so I can edit photos in the newly released (but crappy) Photoshop for iPad. You can get by with your finger but with the Apple Pencil (2nd generation) makes any sort of creative work so much easier. I found myself on the first day of owning Apple Pencil sketching and drawing on my iPad and I really don’t do that sort of thing. It was just fun to do, like I was a kid again. Get Apple Pencil if you’re an Artist, creative or Photographer. Or if you just have some extra money to burn, It’s Fun.

I’m using my Apple Pencil writing this review. My husband bought me my first Apple product recently, the IPad Pro 11. After reading reviews I thought I might like the pencil to go with it. I decided to get it and So far. I’m glad I did. Still learning all its uses. I do like using it as a stylus and tapping is so easy. I tried the notes and I feel this will be very handy. Love how smooth it is. The magnetic storing and charging is also a nice feature. My husband tried it on his pro and now he wants one too.

I am a bit of a digital pencil girl ever since the Galaxy Note phone pencils (before the blow ups). I have the first Apple Pencil, and I never used it much because it was a lot of work. You had to remember to charge it, be able to find it, it was heavy, etc. Long story short this pencil is light and easy. Apple really thought about the user. It charged itself. I just have to remember to set it on the edge of the iPad. My pencil problems are solved. I use it much more often than the other one.
