Right out of the box, works as described! If I bought the best ipad, why would I consider buying secondary pen. That would be like putting bicycle tires on a beemer. Hello!

Love this pencil

Have had to replace pencil tips after heavy use, but that’s normal wear and tear. Absolutely love the functionality, and durability of the pencil itself. Highly recommend.

No hassle charging

I didnt even bother using the version on too much hassle to charge and when ever i went to use it was dead and also sometimes didnt link up with pad.. This thing is flawless and always battery at 100%

2nd Generation Pencil - best yet

After using the 1st generation Pencil for 5 years, this was a nice upgrade going from a 2017 iPad Pro to the just released iPad Air 5. It charges magnetically on the iPad Air 5.
