Its excellent compatibility with the iPad, good battery life, and accuracy for tasks like drawing and note-taking are also frequently highlighted. A necessity
||Posted . It's an essential accessory for artists, note-takers, and professionals alike, offering unparalleled precision, ease of use, and integration with the iPad. This extensive review delves into the various aspects that make the Apple Pencil (2nd generation) a deserving recipient of a 5-star rating. **Design and Ergonomics (5/5):** Apple has meticulously designed the 2nd generation Pencil with a sleek, minimalist aesthetic that not only looks elegant but feels exceptional in hand. The matte finish provides a comfortable, non-slip grip, ensuring that long sessions of writing or drawing are not marred by discomfort. Its lightweight design belies a robust build quality that can withstand the rigors of daily use. The flat side not only prevents the pencil from rolling off desks but also houses the magnetic attachment and wireless charging feature, showcasing Apple’s ability to merge form with function seamlessly. **Performance and Precision (5/5):** The Apple Pencil (2nd generation) sets the standard for digital writing and drawing instruments. The responsiveness is instantaneous, with virtually no lag between the pencil’s movements and the on-screen reaction. This immediacy, combined with the iPad’s high refresh rate, creates a fluid and natural experience that closely mimics traditional pen and paper. The pressure sensitivity is finely tuned, allowing for a wide range of line weights and shading dynamics with incredible accuracy. The addition of tilt functionality enriches the drawing experience further, enabling users to create shading effects simply by tilting the pencil, much like a real graphite or charcoal tool. **Connectivity and Charging (5/5):** Apple has innovated with the charging mechanism of the 2nd generation Pencil, moving away from the cumbersome setup of its predecessor. The magnetic attachment to the side of compatible iPads not only secures the pencil when not in use but also charges it wirelessly. This design choice eliminates the need for external chargers or adapters, ensuring the pencil is always ready when inspiration strikes. The pairing process is equally straightforward—simply attach the pencil to the iPad, and a pairing request appears immediately, a one-time setup that exemplifies Apple’s commitment to user-friendly experiences. **Integration with iPadOS (5/5):** The seamless integration of the Apple Pencil with iPadOS elevates its utility beyond that of a mere stylus. The pencil unlocks a suite of features and capabilities within the operating system and apps, from intuitive note-taking in the Notes app, where users can quickly switch between tools with a simple double-tap on the pencil, to advanced artistic functions in apps like Procreate and Adobe Photoshop. iPadOS’s Scribble feature allows for handwriting in any text field, intelligently converting handwriting to text in real-time, showcasing the pencil’s versatility in both creative and productivity tasks. **Value for Money (5/5):** While the Apple Pencil (2nd generation) comes with a premium price tag, its value proposition is justified through its unmatched performance, build quality, and deep integration with iPadOS. Must-have tool for precise editing work on iPad.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Pencil 2 has made editing on my iPad Pro a breeze! Much more precise than my finger, and the double-tap to erase feature saves so much time in the long run. It literally sticks to the side if you’re iPad Pro magnetically, which takes care of storage AND that’s how it charges! You’ll never have a dead Apple Pencil. This is a must-have tool if you use your iPad Pro for editing, design, or note-taking!

Feels almost like writing with a real pencil
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Side by side, the average user probably wouldn’t notice a difference in performance between the 1st and 2nd generation Apple pencils. You would notice a difference in how they feel in your hand (the first generation is smooth, glossy and round like a tube, and the second gen is smooth, matte and has one flattened edge for charging and tapping for tool change). If you are a graphics designer or an artist, you will want the 2nd gen Apple Pencil since you will notice the slight lag between models. Writing on glass will always be different than writing on paper, but Apple sure did a beautiful job with this pencil! I love how the new pencil has no cap to loose. To charge it you simply lay it along the edge of your Pro tablet and the magnets securely hold it in place while it charges (fast!). A charging meter appears on the tablets screen when you attach the pencil. In comparison, the first generation Apple Pencil uses the lightening port to charge and you have to remove the unattached cap off the lightening end to plug it into your tablet where it hangs out like a long appendage. Remember though, the 2nd generation Apple Pencil is ONLY compatible with the new 2018 pro tablets.

Great product
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone who frequently uses their iPad Pro for both personal and professional purposes, I can confidently say that the Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) is worth the investment. While it may be pricier than some other stylus options on the market, the precision and ease of use are unmatched. The seamless connection and quick charging capability make it a breeze to use, and the ability to switch between tools and adjust line thickness with ease allows for a truly customizable drawing or writing experience. The touch sensitivity is incredibly accurate, and the tilt functionality allows for shading and intricate detail work. Whether you're a professional artist or just someone who enjoys taking handwritten notes, the Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) elevates your digital experience to a whole new level. While it may be a bit of a splurge, the quality and functionality more than justify the cost.

Apple Pencil (2nd Gen.) Worth the Money!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I purchased my Apple iPad Air 5th generation, I also bought the Apple Pencil 2nd Generation. The iPad Air allows you to draw and use the pencil for numerous tasks. Since I have never had an iPad that I could draw or write on, I decided to give the Pencil a try, I absolutely love it! It writes and draws smoothly across the screen and has allowed me to expand my creativity when I use it to draw. It's fun to use! The pencil is thin and can be charged by slipping it into the pencil groove on your iPad. I purchased a silicon skin from another website on the internet that allows me to slide it on the Pencil in order to protect it a little bit more. The Skin IS NOT needed to use the Pencil, just my preference since it is light weight, and not cheap in price. This Pencil is a must-have for those who like to get the most out of their iPad Air or iPad Pro! Even better, I purchased it at my local Best Buy store and earned Reward Points!

Pure Magic! Nothing even comes close!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve used stylus’ in the past... this is not a stylus, this is something completely out there and on its own! The Apple Pencil (2nd Gen.) is seriously nothing short of magic. With it’s super-accurate drawing abilities and it’s crazy-convenient “double-tap” gesture to switch between drawing tools, this magic-drawing-wand honestly makes it a breeze to effortlessly bring your ideas to life! And with the completely redesigned look & feel, it holds comfortablely in your hand without the feeling that it’ll slip through your fingers. I extremely recommend picking up one of these, if you’re buying or already own the new (only compatible) iPad Pro, especially if you’re planing on using any apps such as Procreate, Adobe Draw or Sketch or even just taking notes in class or scribbling doodles at home. Honestly, nothing even comes close! Lastly, with it’s abitly to “magic-netically” cling (and charge!) to the side of the new iPad Pro, you’ll never lose it (or it’s charge!).

The single best accessory for an ipad pro
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The apple pencil is something I wasn't sure I would be able to put to fill use, but now that I've had it for 2 months I use it for just about everything from scrolling pages on safari, taking notes in good Notes 5 and editing photos. I owned the first gen apple pencil and used it maybe once or twice and then never touched it again. But apple really put allot of thought into the second version. A must buy!

A not-so-subtle improvement from last gen's!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being that the Apple Pencil (2nd Gen) is 30% more expensive than its predecessor, you would expect at least 30% more performance and improvements, right? Well, I am happy to say that Apple not only has met this expectation but actually surpassed it. The simple fact that the strangely designed lighting port connector on the pencil, which has always made me squirm because it was so flimsy and thought it could break, especially when attached to the iPad, is gone (yay!). Also, I never have to worry about it being dead and having to re-pair it since now all I have to do is attach it to my iPad Air 4, and voila! The matte finish and flat side design make it feel much more secure in the hands. Double tapping to activate options is certainly welcome. Also, the tilt and pressure sensitivity seems much more spot-on this time. I can’t talk about the lag since I upgraded my iPad along with the Pencil, but so far is barely noticeable, unless you’re really paying attention. It simply feels much more natural to use. Coming from last gen’s Apple pencil, this is certainly an improvement -not just in quality of life, but also in functionality. If your iPad supports it, I highly recommend getting one.

Perfect for artists and students alike
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are an artist or student, this is a must have accessory for your new iPad. Currently, i am using this with the new iPad Air. Writing with the pen feels completely natural, with tons of levels of pressure as well as tilt. I do enjoy the fact that I don’t have to plug it into the iPad anymore to charge the pencil. The magnetic hold is strong and is quite compatible with a range of cases. While using the pencil I couldn’t really feel any latency. Very strong tool for painting, drawing, and taking notes! Highly recommend!

Many major improvements but still not perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having owned the original iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, I respect the changes that Apple has made to the original design. The new matte design of the pencil feels durable and comfortable enough that I don’t feel like using any additional grip with it. The battery holds a substantial charge and is easily docked next to the iPad thanks to its magnetic nature/charging method. The double tap feature allows the artist to switch between pen and eraser very easily. It doesn’t feel perfect yet. I’d prefer a thinner nib on the tool and sometimes the pencil seems to register wider strokes than I wanted, or thinner strokes. It’s a bit fickle that way.

Enhance Your Digital Note-Taking. Wait for sales!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're a student or a note-taking enthusiast like me, the Apple Pencil 2nd Generation is a game changer that brings a whole new level of precision and convenience to your digital note-taking experience. As someone who has relied on traditional methods for years, this portable and sleek device has transformed the way I capture and organize my thoughts. One of the standout features of the Apple Pencil 2nd Generation is its perfect weight and feel in hand. It strikes a balance that feels natural and comfortable, making long note-taking sessions a breeze. Whether you're jotting down ideas or sketching diagrams, the pencil's ergonomic design ensures a seamless and enjoyable writing experience. Another aspect that impressed me is the ease of use when it comes to charging the Apple Pencil. With its magnetic attachment and wireless charging capabilities, it's incredibly convenient. Gone are the days of fumbling with connectors or worrying about battery life. Just snap it onto the side of your iPad, and it's ready to go whenever inspiration strikes. While the Apple Pencil offers exceptional functionality, there are a couple of considerations to keep in mind. Firstly, the pencil tips, while of high quality, can be a bit expensive to replace. However, with proper care and handling, they can last a long time before needing replacement. Additionally, it's important to avoid dropping the Apple Pencil on its tip, as this can lead to damage and affect the writing experience. Taking a little extra care and ensuring a secure grip will help protect the longevity of the pencil and preserve the authentic pencil-like writing feel. In my case, the Apple Pencil 2nd Generation has become an indispensable tool for my note-taking needs, particularly when using my iPad. The precision, responsiveness, and ease of use have truly elevated my digital note-taking game. It's a worthy investment that has streamlined my organization and made studying more efficient. In conclusion, the Apple Pencil 2nd Generation is a must-have accessory for iPad users who value precision and convenience in their note-taking endeavors. Its perfect weight and feel, coupled with effortless charging, make it a joy to use. Just be mindful of the pencil tips and handle it with care. Say goodbye to traditional methods, and embrace the digital revolution with the Apple Pencil!

So simple, but so effective
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Never realized how much easier it was to be productive on an IPAD until I tried out the Apple Pencil. The 2nd Generation is a breeze to integrate with my iPad Pro. I like how easy it is to charge by attaching to the top with the magnet. Only issue is I’m afraid I might lose it and the standard Apple keyboard case doesn’t have a better holder. I use the pencil for almost everything...browsing the web, shopping, playing games like crosswords or puzzle games is an awesome experience...even using music apps like “djay” work great with the pencil. This doesn’t include the traditional uses of the pencil such as drawing and taking notes. Only thing I would like to see at some point is automatic text-recognition. Right now I had to purchase “Notability” app to do this and use some clunky workaround, but it would be awesome if the writing could automatically convert to digital text. Highly recommended accessory though a little pricey...I could definitely see everyone at School and University with an IPAD and pencil in a few years.

A Reliable Companion: Apple Pencil 2
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Pencil 2 has been a game-changer for my digital workflow since I added it to my arsenal last month. Its reliability stands out as a testament to Apple’s commitment to seamless integration and user experience. First and foremost, the connection with my iPad Pro is flawless. With a simple magnetic attachment and automatic pairing, I can start using the Apple Pencil 2 within seconds of picking it up. This convenience eliminates any frustration or delay, allowing me to dive straight into my creative projects or note-taking without interruption. The responsiveness of the Apple Pencil 2 is unparalleled. Whether I’m sketching intricate designs or jotting down quick notes, the precision and accuracy of the stylus never fail to impress. The pressure sensitivity and tilt functionality add depth to my artwork, providing a level of control that rivals traditional drawing tools. Furthermore, the battery life of the Apple Pencil 2 is exceptional. A quick charge via the magnetic connector ensures that I never have to worry about running out of power in the middle of a project. Plus, the intuitive double-tap feature allows for quick access to tools and functions, enhancing efficiency and productivity. In terms of design, the Apple Pencil 2 is sleek and ergonomic. Its seamless construction and matte finish feel comfortable in hand, making long drawing sessions or note-taking a breeze. The absence of a charging port, thanks to the magnetic attachment, adds to the overall aesthetic appeal and simplicity of the device. One minor drawback is the lack of compatibility with older iPad models. While understandable due to technological advancements, it may limit the accessibility of the Apple Pencil 2 for some users who are not ready to upgrade their devices. Overall, the Apple Pencil 2 has exceeded my expectations in terms of reliability and performance. Its seamless integration, responsiveness, and ergonomic design make it an indispensable tool for digital artists, note-takers, and professionals alike. If you’re in the market for a stylus that delivers on its promises, look no further than the Apple Pencil 2.
