Customers are saying

Customers regard the product highly for its exceptional ease of use, strong overall performance, and efficient charging capabilities. Its excellent compatibility with the iPad, good battery life, and accuracy for tasks like drawing and note-taking are also frequently highlighted. However, the price is a significant concern for many, and some users have reported issues with the tip's durability and connection. While lag is generally not a problem, a few customers find its size to be a drawback.

The Perfect Tool for Creatives and Professionals

The Apple Pencil 2nd Generation is a game-changer for anyone using an iPad for creative work, note-taking, or productivity. The sleek design and magnetic attachment for charging and storage are incredibly convenient. Its responsiveness and pressure sensitivity make it feel like a real pen, offering an unparalleled drawing and writing experience. The double-tap feature to switch tools is a thoughtful addition that boosts workflow efficiency. It’s an investment, but for artists, students, or professionals, it’s worth every penny. The only drawback is its compatibility limited to certain iPad models, but if your device supports it, it’s a must-have accessory.

Absolutely, the Apple Pencil 2 is like a digital artist's best friend. Its precision and responsiveness are top-notch, making it a must for any iPad user. The magnetic attachment and wireless charging are super convenient. While it's a bit on the pricey side, it's an investment that creative professionals won't regret.

I bought a knock off from amazon and it was very poor quality. I returned it and got this one instead and it’s much better. It connects to the iPad automatically and magnetically. I never have to worry about charging it because it’s always charged. Also the features of the Apple Pencil are far and away better than what you get from the other brands. Stick with this one and don’t use the other. The low latency response makes this pencil feel like you’re actually writing on the screen. Again the other ones didn’t they writing was delayed.

The Apple Pencil has been a great addition to use with my iPad Air 2020. There’s a lot of uses included just scrolling through web pages or reaching corners of the iPad easier. It is very sensitive to pressure from the slightest tough to pushing harder down on the screen and everything inbetween. It picks up the angle of writing easily and makes drawing, editing, erasing and writing a lot more authentic and more natural as I don’t have to keep changing the paint brush settings to get lighter/darker strokes or change the width to get wider or thinner lines as the pencil does it all automatically and without hesitation. It has a very good hand feel and after spending prolonged periods of writing it’s still comfortable to hold and the Matt finish helps it not slide in my hand. Attaching magnetically to the side of my tablet and also charging from it is incredibly useful as it’s always there and charged when I want to use it and the magnets are strong and keep it firmly in position. The battery life is also very impressive as I’ve never managed to get it to go anywhere below 80% charged. The double tap works very well and is very useful for writing notes or drawing and saves a lot of messing around with selecting the marker or eraser. Cons: It can be knocked off from the side of the iPad or get in the way if you are holding the tablet two handed and portrait however I bought after buying a self adhesive Apple Pencil sleeve for £8 I don’t have that problem anymore but always have the pencil there without occasionally being in the way. The double tap feature works better on the flat side (that’s what you're meant to do) but on the rounded edges or further up it doesn’t always pick the double tap up but if you hold the pencil as it should the double tap is responsive and sensitive. The scribble feature could do with some work in regards picking up some letters or numbers although I have the hand writing of a child at best which I’m sure doesn’t help.

So I was trying to take notes and I was not trying to invest in this pencil i tried bluetooth pencils stylist pretty much every cheap option i could find, they allowed me to write what i needed to but they lagged a lot. Once I purchased this pencil there was virtually no lag no wires. So advice: just get this first instead of throwing money out the window. The pencil allows me to take notes for about 15 hours or so without being charged, when it’s time to charge it takes about 10 minutes to get to 100% from about 0-5%

Highly recommended accessory for iPad Pro

I tried to not buy the Apple Pencil for as long as possible, but I ultimately needed it for work (note-taking/designing figures) and bought the Apple Pencil 2. I previously owned the 10.5 inch iPad Pro and the 1st generation Apple Pencil and comparatively, the design changes have their pros and cons. In terms of the cons, I think the Apple Pencil 1 is a little thicker than the 2. For someone with larger hands, it actually was more comfortable holding the 1 than the 2. If I'm doing a lot with the Apple Pencil 2 for a long period of time, my hand cramps up more quickly than when I used the 1. As for the pros, I have to say that the magnetic connection and wireless charging features are what ultimately makes the 2 worth buying. I've misplaced the charging dongle of my Apple Pencil 1 many times and also the pencil itself. I also have brought out the 1 only to find that the battery is dead many times. Being able to attach the Apple Pencil 2 to the iPad has been such a huge improvement in my usage. So, if you do a lot of note-taking, drawing or photo editing, you can't go wrong with the Apple Pencil 2, especially with the new features.

After a year of use I can say that it works excellent, the battery lasts approximately 4 continuous hours and it charges super fast. Double-tap features and ergonomic design make it easy to type for a long time. Quite resistant, I use it daily to take notes in my classes and I like its functions more and more. Recommended for apps like good notes.

    Best accessory for the iPad

Recently got myself an iPad Air 2020 coming from a Surface Pro and the Apple Pencil was the best accessory for that iPad. As a college student who takes lots of notes this pencil is incredibly well engineered, at first I was concerned about the plastic tip of the pencil against the glass screen of the iPad, but over time I have learned to really enjoy it and even prefer it over the Surface Pen. Only downside is the price, but it truly is worth it as someone who primarily uses the iPad for notes.

I bought this for my daughter to use with her new 4th generation iPad Air for college. It was a upgrade over her 1st gen Apple Pencil which unfortunately won't work on c port models. Even with an adaptor the 1st gen pencil won't connect. It works well and charges just from being magnetically attacked to the side of the iPad. It also doesn't have the charging cap that's easy to loose on the 1st gen model. The entire pencil is one peace with no detachable parts

    Improvement from First Generation

First of all, why am I buying this pencil from best buy? Here comes a little tip: make sure that you pay attention to you apple pencil once in a while because I lost my original Pencil II several days after purchase. The pencil, overall, is a great improvement from the first generation and it is far better from the first generation imo from all kinds of perspectives. Charging it up is really easy, and it looks far better than first generation. However, considering the cost of the pencil and the ipad pro combined, it's fairly expensive to buy a new combo like this..

Love this convenient little thing! Compared to previous "touch screen pens" this one is very precise and feels like a real pen in my hand due to the weight. I love how it snaps to the edge of my iPad with the magnet for convenience. All around great purchase if you like to draw on your device.

I wasn’t sure how much I would use this pencil, but after getting the Good Notes application, I really appreciate how comfortable it is to write with this pencil. It’s also pressure sensitive, which is great for using artistic and photo editing applications. The flat side of the pencil makes it more comfortable to hold than the 1st generation and it doesn’t roll off the table. The flat side also is magnetic and I really like that it attaches to the side of the iPad. I only gave it 4 stars because of the price. Is it worth $129? If you are an artist or do a lot of work that requires precision and pressure sensitivity, it could be worth it. I primarily use it for taking notes, so that’s why I feel somewhat unsure about the cost-to-benefit ratio. Nonetheless, I have used other, less expensive styluses and the Apple Pencil 2 is far more comfortable to hold and offers excellent precision vs the cheaper options.
