    Works a little better than the 1st gen pencil, but it's probably due to the iPad that this pencil works with being 120Hz.

    I loved the 1st gen pencil and have no complaints about it but the 2nd gen apple pencil is an amazing upgrade on the texture of the pencil alone.

    The new pen has a texture that is easier to grip and there is a flat side that keeps it from rolling. The pencil also has a quicker response time than the first generation.

    I have both the 1st gen and the 2nd gen Apple pencil with the iPads I have owned. 2nd gen is much easier to carry around with your iPad with its magnet and charges at the same time. BUT, the downside is also the magnet as it can easily come loose when placed in your bag.

    This pencil is definitely an upgrade from the last generation. The feel is better and it is easier to be more precise. Can’t have an iPad Pro without this

    Overall a great purchase! Very response and REALLY great for Digital Arts and for note taking. Generation 2 is for iPad Pro! Don’t but Generation 1 on accident. Lol
