I bought the new iPad so I had to buy the new pencil. I wasn’t expecting it to be any better. In as far as performance/use, I really don’t see too much difference. I bought a case for my iPad that holds the pencil in place, so it is always charged. I never even have to think about it anymore! Totally recommend it if not only for this reason.

But I was able to exchange it for one that does with no trouble at all.
