    Bought this for a Christmas present but found out it was not backwards compatible with older gen iPad - seems odd but returning was no hassle except the time wasted

    I guess the pencil works well on the right iPad. I have 2 and both only work with first addition. I kept the pen for when this retired old man can get a new iPad.

    Be careful or you will loose your pencil. Do not depend always on the magnet to hold your pencil in place. This is really just for charging not holding your pencil.
