    I had to return it after the Holiday and exchange it for Gen 1 because it was not compatible with the newest Gen 10 iPad. Floor associate sold it to me as worth the extra $30, obviously not knowing it didn't work with the iPad I Purchased as a gift. Took 1.5 weeks to get Gen 1 pencil, and the Gen 1 pencil requires adaptors to charge because it is lighting connector and the new iPad is USB C.

    The apple pen attaches to the IPAD with a snap. The magnet is strong. The pen has only one drawback in that it is not backwards compatible.
