Pen isn’t compatible with all latest iPad versions

This was a Christmas present for my son who’s in high school. Given that school reconvened after the 14 day return exchange policy, I’m stuck with an expensive pen that doesn’t work for his brand new 10th generation iPad.

Apple pencil not compatible with ipad air

After my son realized that they didn’t work together, and was told that he couldn't return it. What an expensive mistake (believing their recommendation)!
