Broken nose tip

It was my first pencil so I kept on using it; until one night, while trying to write fast, it’s nose tip came out. I tried to put it back forcefully and bent the plastic accidentally. I called apple and it said that I would need to pay full premium price + California tax plus shipping as hold to get a replacement and return the broken one. it also said that the team would evaluate the pencil for any accidental damage - if they find it an accidental damage, they would charge me 100% of the hold. Yes - I should have returned on day-1 when I noticed it was lose but I just didn’t know if it was meant to be like that. I now need to buy a new one…

For one no matter what you purchase, open the box before you leave the store and make sure the item in the box is what you are paying for. Even if the product is "sealed" by best buy or the manufacture. Second open box items, open the box and make sure the item actually works. They claim to test items before they go back on the shelf. If that were true they would not have placed this pen back out. It was DOA which was on par for what happened with the whole transaction. Be careful if you need to return items because they don't work or because the "sealed" item in the box is not the product you purchased. Best but will threaten you with criminal charges for their negligance.

Received BROKEN Apple Pencil and mixed info

It did not work in the slightest. Even Apple Store could not get it to work. Took it to a different Best Buy, who told us that pre-owned Apple pencils are NOT tested by geek squad. The manager at the Irvine Best Buy took care of me and so I will leave a positive review there. However I cannot recommend buying an Apple Pencil used from Best Buy, as it did not work and I received mixed information on the qualtiy assurance of the product.

Never worked from beginning.

The one I received from Best Buy, after purchasing online, has never worked. Instructions are pretty simple, and as long as your iPad has the magnetic connector on the right hand side, it is supposed to work. The instructions say that within 20 minutes you should receive an indicator that the pencil is charging. Then you’re supposed to pair it via Bluetooth. The second generation Apple Pencil has no charging port, and it is designed to charge, by induction, from your iPad. There are no buttons on it to turn it on. Control of the pencil is done via your iPad. But, before you can use it, it must actually turn on! I’ve spent over an hour so far being bounced around from one Best Buy number to another, and most recently after waiting about 20 minutes, I finally was able to speak to a human. After taking information from me, she said she would look into it. A few minutes later, the call was dropped on their end. Even though she confirmed my phone number and email address, I have received no contact back from her. If you’re going to buy an Apple Pencil, or any other Apple product, for that matter, you may as well just get it directly from Apple. Then test it before you leave the parking lot, and if it doesn’t work, you can go right back in and return it or swap it for a different one. This whole process has been a big waste of time.

The tip was bent. I returned it. If your buying open box. Really know your product and check it over. I bought someone’s messed up damaged return!

So i returned that item and was reimbursed for that item. I’d also bought some extra erasing toos but never recieved them. Appatently, they were held up some way, and I’ve still not been reimbursed for them. Its still sitting in a couple of emails I’d gotten. I have yet to see the money put back onto mt Best Buy Card for them.

Best Buy SCAMMERS

I will receive a refund within 7 to 10 business days that never happened after waiting a month. They finally came up with the conclusion or with the lie trying to say that I sent back an empty box. They are really trying to keep my $119. I have spoken with the geek squad. I have spoken with customer service reps over 10 different times same exact word same exact everything they are well scripted never a callback never ever any response that they promised be careful. They are a scammer and a rip off save your money.
