PITA, it works, but drawing needs better controls. over sensitive, makes me look like I have the shakes. Wish the point were softer or replaceable with something softer and broader and touch sensitive for width, or behaved like a brush, etc. Most people will do better with a soft point pen for $20 or so. It would be dangerous in the hands of children as well, and as personal protection goes, there are for better products for that, ; )

Would not work with my generation of iPad. Apple should have made it backward comparable. Returned item

Bought an “excellent” open boxed Apple Pencil—it didn’t even work!

Bought it because the lady said it would link to the Apple iPad I had bought, had to return it because it did not work with it

To be completely fair I never got to use the pencil. Due to poor explaination on the part of a Best Buy staff member and poor advertisment on Apple's part, I bought this pencil when I bought my wife's new iPad, not pro. Most of you already know where I'm going with this. So I bought the iPad and the pencil and then we went on vacation. When I came back my wife tried the pencil out and it didn't work on her new iPad because it only works with pro. When I went to take it back, I was a day past the return date due to Apples 14 day return policy that is also poorly advertised, so I've been stuck with a brand new $120 Apple Pencil 2 I can't use and can't take back. I'm sure it works great if you have a device that can actually use it though.

We purchased this without realizing it would not work with theb8th generation iPad. It only works with air and pro. It will be returned

Works as it should, just wish there was and on/off mechanism.

Great addition to have for my iPad Pro only down fall is that it drains the battery from the pad when mounted to the pad but if you can deal with that then it’s great

Has a tendency to freeze my iPad. Ever since I got this item I have to restart my tablet every few days

Great product excellent for note taking on my ipad

The pen is excellent I use it a lot it took me awhile to figure out how to use it to draw and write with it. I use it daily now to navigate around the ipad.

It’s been a year. I got the pencil for my iPad mini. At first I thought I didn’t need it but it’s a must have to enjoy all the functionality of your iPad.

I have an Ipad that this pen does not work with. The 2 sales associate were positive that this pen would work with my Ipad as the responded to my inquiry and then my are you sure. It does not. The 1 generation does which I found out for myself. I then returned it and acquired the generation 1 - which does work fine.

Pencil drain ipad battery life. Other than that the pencil itself works very well

Broke after a few months. Just no signs of life. Still have to take it to apple for warranty replacement. Before it broke it worked excellent, i think if you’re not using your Mac for “artsy” stuff or to take written notes its kinda useless.

nothing to be surprise basic or average item how ever this item doesn't include a serial number which is very hard to identify or personalize it

wish I could give 0 stars. It wouldn't connect to the iPad and when I took it to apple they informed me that it was a fake. I bought an open box option. this means that someone did not do their job. they are refusing to pay back my money.

I think I will enjoy using this pencil although I just opened it recently. I was fortunate to purchase as an open box item excellent and it is perfect.
