2 brand new pencils dead out of the box

Would show connected but would not do anything else. Ended up with a usb c Apple Pencil even though my wife’s pencil works perfectly fine

Works for a Year!!

This Apple Pencil Gen 2 only lasted about 1 1/2 year (6 months past the warranty coverage expired). Also our iPad stopped powering on and Apple declared it unrepairable (after 2 years of use with normal care). Great Apple!!! Now we have to carefully think if we have to buy another Apple product.
