Magnetic pencil

Stopped working after a few weeks..

I have only had this pencil for a few weeks, and I'm already having issues. I will not connect anymore. When it is connected to the side of my ipad it will charge, but when trying to use it to write, it will not connect. I tried resetting my ipad, and disconnecting my bluetooth. Then "forgetting the device" but still no luck. I might have gotten a bad one, but I never had any issues whatsoever with my 1st generation apple pencil.
