Love my Apple Pencil! It works great with my IPad Pro. Anyone wanting to use graphic/vector apps on your iPad needs the Apple Pencil. Apples’ a quality is suburb! This is my second Apple Pencil as I ran over the 1st one with the car! Even cracked it lasted another 6-8 months before it finally gave out! I’ve tried others but nothing worked as flawlessly as the Apple Pencil! I can’t imagine being without it again! I love that it allows you to write instead of typing in search bars! Charges quickly and holds a charge for hours of use!

Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) Lightweight and Easy

For any iPad user, the Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) is an essential tool for taking notes, drawing, and other creative activities. As a proud owner of the white variant of the pencil, I must say that it has been a game-changer for me. One of the things I appreciate about the Apple Pencil 2 is its seamless connection and compatibility with my iPad – it starts working instantly as soon as I pick it up. The pencil feels extremely lightweight in my hand, and I can easily switch between taking notes and sketching without any hassle. The added function of double-tapping it to switch between various tools is also very useful. While I was considering purchasing the new Pencil (3rd Generation), I am glad that I decided against it. The 2nd Generation still provides excellent performance. The fact that the 2nd Gen Pencil can be charged wirelessly by just attaching it to the side of my iPad Pro is a convenient bonus, which I won't be getting with the 3rd Gen Pencil. All in all, the Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) is a must-have for anyone using an iPad for artistic or work-related purposes. It's comfortable to use, lightweight, and seamlessly integrates with the iPad. For those who are considering the upgrade to the Pencil 3, I recommend giving the 2nd generation a chance first – you may find that it already meets all your needs.

One of the most impressive features of the Apple Pencil is its responsiveness. The tip of the pencil is designed to be sensitive to pressure and tilt, which allows users to create a variety of line widths and shading effects. Whether you are drawing a detailed sketch or writing a note, the Apple Pencil can respond with the exact level of precision that you need. Another great feature of the Apple Pencil is its battery life. A full charge can last up to 12 hours, and a quick 15-second charge can provide up to 30 minutes of use. The pencil also automatically pairs with your device when it is turned on, so you can start using it right away. The Apple Pencil is designed to be comfortable to use for extended periods. It is lightweight and well-balanced, making it easy to hold in your hand for hours. Additionally, it has a smooth, matte finish that feels natural against your fingertips. In terms of functionality, the Apple Pencil is incredibly versatile. It can be used to draw, sketch, take notes, and even annotate documents. With the iPad Pro and the latest versions of iOS, the Apple Pencil can also be used to navigate your device, allowing you to quickly switch between apps, open menus, and perform other tasks with ease. Overall, the Apple Pencil is an excellent tool for anyone who needs to draw, sketch, take notes, or navigate their device with precision and ease. It is well-designed, comfortable to use, and offers an impressive range of features and functionality. While it may be a bit pricey, the Apple Pencil is a worthwhile investment for anyone who wants to take their creativity or productivity to the next level.

I purchased this pen alongside my iPad and it has not needed to be replaced to this day. It still charges quickly and holds a charge for a long time and is sensitive to the touch even with a thicker screen protector on the tablet. I am two years in and it performs as if new.

Artist's dream, with some caveats for biz users

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Please note that I am reviewing this from the mindset of a budding biz professional that is interested in learning art, not a dedicated artist mindset... First things first, this is an Apple product. The Apple Pencil is designed to look and act beautifully. This stylus has a matte finish that doesn't feel like it is going to slip out of your hands like some others. The pen also has a nice balance to it, making it a valuable product for artists. Double tapping on the side allows you to switch tools in supported apps, which helps when sketching or doodling. Pencil is instantly recognized by my iPad Air, and I appreciate that it charges on the side wirelessly instead of having to use yet another cable to charge it... One small gripe I do have is that the double tap feature only works within apps to switch art tools. A knock-off I have used before has a feature that allows me to switch between apps or see an overlay of all open apps. If there was a way to program the Pencil to do this instead of the limited application of the feature then this would be a winning accessory hands down! Overall a bit pricy, but definitely a treat to use. If you are a dedicated artist, this would be a great investment to further your career. Meanwhile, it might not be as great of a value if you are strictly using your iPad for business use due to the limited usage...

I upgraded to the iPad Pro and was initially annoyed I had to upgrade my pencil as well. However the pencil 2 seems to be more accurate and my hand writing is much more legible. (I take notes for class). The wireless charging feature is so much nicer and you don’t have to worry about losing a cap anymore. It’s slimmer than the original which can be odd if you’re used to thicker pencils. I would suggest purchasing a grip for ease of use as well.

The Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) from Best Buy is nothing short of a marvel for creativity. It's a potent blend of design, functionality, and technology that transcends the boundaries of digital art and note-taking. Right from the unboxing, you can feel the Apple magic. The pencil is elegantly designed with a sleek, matte finish that feels good in the hand. It's lightweight, yet it has a certain heft to it that gives you control while drawing or writing. The flat edge not only prevents the pencil from rolling off the table but also houses the wireless charging function—an ingenious design element that shows Apple's attention to detail. The real magic begins when the Apple Pencil meets the iPad screen. The latency is almost non-existent. It feels as immediate and natural as traditional pen and paper, something that very few digital pens have been able to achieve. The tilt and pressure sensitivity works flawlessly, allowing you to create varying line weights and shading effects with ease. This makes it an invaluable tool for artists and designers.

This extensive review delves into the various aspects that make the Apple Pencil (2nd generation) a deserving recipient of a 5-star rating. **Design and Ergonomics (5/5):** Apple has meticulously designed the 2nd generation Pencil with a sleek, minimalist aesthetic that not only looks elegant but feels exceptional in hand. The matte finish provides a comfortable, non-slip grip, ensuring that long sessions of writing or drawing are not marred by discomfort. Its lightweight design belies a robust build quality that can withstand the rigors of daily use.
