Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the most impressive features of the Apple Pencil is its responsiveness. The tip of the pencil is designed to be sensitive to pressure and tilt, which allows users to create a variety of line widths and shading effects. Whether you are drawing a detailed sketch or writing a note, the Apple Pencil can respond with the exact level of precision that you need. Another great feature of the Apple Pencil is its battery life. A full charge can last up to 12 hours, and a quick 15-second charge can provide up to 30 minutes of use. The pencil also automatically pairs with your device when it is turned on, so you can start using it right away. The Apple Pencil is designed to be comfortable to use for extended periods. It is lightweight and well-balanced, making it easy to hold in your hand for hours. Additionally, it has a smooth, matte finish that feels natural against your fingertips. In terms of functionality, the Apple Pencil is incredibly versatile. It can be used to draw, sketch, take notes, and even annotate documents. With the iPad Pro and the latest versions of iOS, the Apple Pencil can also be used to navigate your device, allowing you to quickly switch between apps, open menus, and perform other tasks with ease. Overall, the Apple Pencil is an excellent tool for anyone who needs to draw, sketch, take notes, or navigate their device with precision and ease. It is well-designed, comfortable to use, and offers an impressive range of features and functionality. Very nice addition to note taking and sketches
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apple nailed it with this second generation Apple Pencil. The responsiveness is flawless. The way it attaches magnetically to my latest generation iPad Air is slick and makes it very easy to charge without it hanging out of the Lightning port like the previous generation. It works great for taking notes or drawing as the iPad detects when you hold the Pencil at an angle for thicker strokes. It feels great in the hand and lays on a flat surface when you need to set it down. Well done

The stylus you should buy for iPad Mini, Air, Pro.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best stylus on the market hands down. Apple did a very good job of the accuracy and feel of this stylus for the iPad. It’s works very smooth and the latency is very low. When you draw, it picks it right up, no lag. I’m using it on an 2020 iPad Pro 12.9”. I love that you can charge the pencil directly from laying it on the top of the ipad where the magnets are. This is how you also pair it upon first opening it. Very simple pairing process, it just works. The pencil has some weight to it, you definitely feel it in your hands when holding it, the quality is good also. It doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy. The material the pencil is made of is a gray/whitish smooth material that feels like you could rub/bump it against something and the white won’t come off. Overall, I had a third party stylus from Amazon that worked with my iPad Pro 12.9” but it wasn’t nearly as smooth and reliable like Apple’s pencil option and I had to charge it via USB C. With Apple’s pencil, it charges on the iPad so conveniently out of the way with any cords. It’s an all enclosed design, meaning there are no charging ports on it. I feel like for most things, Apple’s in house home cooking solution is the best route to go, even paying a little more for something. I’m glad I bought this on sale, I would look for Amazon Prime Day deals or Black Friday to get a really good sale. Also, if you don’t mind buying used, Best Buy used/refurbished is a good cheaper option. Enjoy. Apple has also added some more features to the pen for upcoming Fall 2022 iOS16 iPadOS release, I’m beta testing it now.

Artist's dream, with some caveats for biz users
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Please note that I am reviewing this from the mindset of a budding biz professional that is interested in learning art, not a dedicated artist mindset... First things first, this is an Apple product. The Apple Pencil is designed to look and act beautifully. This stylus has a matte finish that doesn't feel like it is going to slip out of your hands like some others. The pen also has a nice balance to it, making it a valuable product for artists. Double tapping on the side allows you to switch tools in supported apps, which helps when sketching or doodling. Pencil is instantly recognized by my iPad Air, and I appreciate that it charges on the side wirelessly instead of having to use yet another cable to charge it... One small gripe I do have is that the double tap feature only works within apps to switch art tools. A knock-off I have used before has a feature that allows me to switch between apps or see an overlay of all open apps. If there was a way to program the Pencil to do this instead of the limited application of the feature then this would be a winning accessory hands down! Overall a bit pricy, but definitely a treat to use. If you are a dedicated artist, this would be a great investment to further your career. Meanwhile, it might not be as great of a value if you are strictly using your iPad for business use due to the limited usage...

Pencil
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) from Best Buy is nothing short of a marvel for creativity. It's a potent blend of design, functionality, and technology that transcends the boundaries of digital art and note-taking. Right from the unboxing, you can feel the Apple magic. The pencil is elegantly designed with a sleek, matte finish that feels good in the hand. It's lightweight, yet it has a certain heft to it that gives you control while drawing or writing. The flat edge not only prevents the pencil from rolling off the table but also houses the wireless charging function—an ingenious design element that shows Apple's attention to detail. The real magic begins when the Apple Pencil meets the iPad screen. The latency is almost non-existent. It feels as immediate and natural as traditional pen and paper, something that very few digital pens have been able to achieve. The tilt and pressure sensitivity works flawlessly, allowing you to create varying line weights and shading effects with ease. This makes it an invaluable tool for artists and designers.

An Improvement on a Success!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apple makes extraordinary products and this Apple Pencil is no exception. I find it extremely useful in everyday tasks. It is well designed, lightweight, and easy to use. One suggestion would be to have a better way to connect the pen. The magnets are not strong enough and it slips off the side of the iPad all the time. It also makes the iPad difficult to carry - constantly worried it will disconnect.

Apple Pencil (2nd Gen.) Worth the Money!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I purchased my Apple iPad Air 5th generation, I also bought the Apple Pencil 2nd Generation. The iPad Air allows you to draw and use the pencil for numerous tasks. Since I have never had an iPad that I could draw or write on, I decided to give the Pencil a try, I absolutely love it! It writes and draws smoothly across the screen and has allowed me to expand my creativity when I use it to draw. It's fun to use! The pencil is thin and can be charged by slipping it into the pencil groove on your iPad. I purchased a silicon skin from another website on the internet that allows me to slide it on the Pencil in order to protect it a little bit more. The Skin IS NOT needed to use the Pencil, just my preference since it is light weight, and not cheap in price. This Pencil is a must-have for those who like to get the most out of their iPad Air or iPad Pro! Even better, I purchased it at my local Best Buy store and earned Reward Points!

Feels almost like writing with a real pencil
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Side by side, the average user probably wouldn’t notice a difference in performance between the 1st and 2nd generation Apple pencils. You would notice a difference in how they feel in your hand (the first generation is smooth, glossy and round like a tube, and the second gen is smooth, matte and has one flattened edge for charging and tapping for tool change). If you are a graphics designer or an artist, you will want the 2nd gen Apple Pencil since you will notice the slight lag between models. Writing on glass will always be different than writing on paper, but Apple sure did a beautiful job with this pencil! I love how the new pencil has no cap to loose. To charge it you simply lay it along the edge of your Pro tablet and the magnets securely hold it in place while it charges (fast!). A charging meter appears on the tablets screen when you attach the pencil. In comparison, the first generation Apple Pencil uses the lightening port to charge and you have to remove the unattached cap off the lightening end to plug it into your tablet where it hangs out like a long appendage. Remember though, the 2nd generation Apple Pencil is ONLY compatible with the new 2018 pro tablets.

Pure Magic! Nothing even comes close!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve used stylus’ in the past... this is not a stylus, this is something completely out there and on its own! The Apple Pencil (2nd Gen.) is seriously nothing short of magic. With it’s super-accurate drawing abilities and it’s crazy-convenient “double-tap” gesture to switch between drawing tools, this magic-drawing-wand honestly makes it a breeze to effortlessly bring your ideas to life! And with the completely redesigned look & feel, it holds comfortablely in your hand without the feeling that it’ll slip through your fingers. I extremely recommend picking up one of these, if you’re buying or already own the new (only compatible) iPad Pro, especially if you’re planing on using any apps such as Procreate, Adobe Draw or Sketch or even just taking notes in class or scribbling doodles at home. Honestly, nothing even comes close! Lastly, with it’s abitly to “magic-netically” cling (and charge!) to the side of the new iPad Pro, you’ll never lose it (or it’s charge!).

The single best accessory for an ipad pro
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The apple pencil is something I wasn't sure I would be able to put to fill use, but now that I've had it for 2 months I use it for just about everything from scrolling pages on safari, taking notes in good Notes 5 and editing photos. I owned the first gen apple pencil and used it maybe once or twice and then never touched it again. But apple really put allot of thought into the second version. A must buy!

A not-so-subtle improvement from last gen's!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being that the Apple Pencil (2nd Gen) is 30% more expensive than its predecessor, you would expect at least 30% more performance and improvements, right? Well, I am happy to say that Apple not only has met this expectation but actually surpassed it. The simple fact that the strangely designed lighting port connector on the pencil, which has always made me squirm because it was so flimsy and thought it could break, especially when attached to the iPad, is gone (yay!). Also, I never have to worry about it being dead and having to re-pair it since now all I have to do is attach it to my iPad Air 4, and voila! The matte finish and flat side design make it feel much more secure in the hands. Double tapping to activate options is certainly welcome. Also, the tilt and pressure sensitivity seems much more spot-on this time. I can’t talk about the lag since I upgraded my iPad along with the Pencil, but so far is barely noticeable, unless you’re really paying attention. It simply feels much more natural to use. Coming from last gen’s Apple pencil, this is certainly an improvement -not just in quality of life, but also in functionality. If your iPad supports it, I highly recommend getting one.

Perfect for artists and students alike
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are an artist or student, this is a must have accessory for your new iPad. Currently, i am using this with the new iPad Air. Writing with the pen feels completely natural, with tons of levels of pressure as well as tilt. I do enjoy the fact that I don’t have to plug it into the iPad anymore to charge the pencil. The magnetic hold is strong and is quite compatible with a range of cases. While using the pencil I couldn’t really feel any latency. Very strong tool for painting, drawing, and taking notes! Highly recommend!
