Excellent drawing experience
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Draws like a dream in Procreate. I purchased an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil to have a portable, digital sketchpad, and the drawing experience with the pencil is incredibly fluid and smooth. The pencil is easy to hold and has good weight to it so as to feel substantive in your hand, rather than floaty and delicate. The touch functions on the pencil are pretty useful, and I love how it charges magnetically on the iPad. The only downside is that it has a relatively short battery life - it drains constantly even when not in use while the iPad is off, and in terms of active drawing time, it won’t last more than 7-8 hours, I’d think. That being said, I can’t complain because it charges to full in 15 minutes. Overall, the drawing experience is top notch, and that’s my primary focus.

Useful utility for additional capabilities of iPad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This stylus component for my iPad Air is quite nifty. It allows for me to take handwritten notes both for personal use and work use. The addition of the double-tap gesture when upgrading from the 1st generation Pencil is useful and adds to the fluidity when using notes or drawing apps. I like to use it to switch between my pencil and the eraser function. The battery life is good and the wireless charging capability is much more convenient than the 1st generation’s design. Overall, this is definitely recommended and it’s worth waiting if you can find a decent price drop.

LIFE CHANGING
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't describe how much I love the Apple pencil! I previously had a knock off ipad pencil from Amazon and oh boy what a difference it makes with the apple one. The Apple pencil makes your handwriting better and makes it easier to write on the ipad. Also love the new design, it's now matte and seems lighter in weight compared to the 1st gen Apple Pencil

Apple Pencil 2nd Generation worth the $$$ YES
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Here All the good news about the New Apple Pencil (2nd Gen) -Pairs instantly with IPad 11 Pro -Easy charging on side of IPad -Comfortable to hold -Writes flawlessly -Good balance The Bad: -A bit expensive I use my Apple Pencil 2 everyday as I take notes with my IPad Pro 11. The Apple Pencil 2 is a definite upgrade to the Apple Pencil 1 almost just because you can charge the pencil by attaching it to your IPad. This feature alone makes the Apple Pencil worth buying. The Apple Pencil 2 also has no lag and write flawlessly. It is very comfortable to hold. The only downside is the pencil is a bit expensive but that’s common for most Apple products. Overall, I would recommend the Apple Pencil 2 if you have a new version of the IPad Pro.

Overall Yes, but can't help but compare this to...
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first time I have purchased an Apple Pencil, I am using it primarily for taking notes on a 4th Gen iPad Air, but with the intention of improving some artistic abilities especially with horticultural illustrations and drawings. It works very well. But, let's compare a situation here: My husband recently upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, which included the S-Pen with that tablet. Why can't Apple include the Pencil with the purchase of some of their higher-tier iPads? Or at least offer a substantial discount to customers on the Pencil when purchasing an iPad? I like Apple devices, and I have used iPads since the beginning, but the way Apple has to squeeze every dollar out of their customers for their accessories by either charging outrageous and obscene prices for their accessories (such as the Magic Folio Keyboards for iPads), or by not including what can be considered basic accessories with the purchase of their devices, (such as the Apple Pencil) is frustrating at times. I realize Apple's devices and accessories work very well together, and I could have purchased an Apple Pencil stylus knock-off such as the Logitech Crayon, or any other options, but I decided to go for the Apple Pencil when the price dropped below $80 (almost 40% off the regular price), so I could utilize all the features without compromising any features of the Apple Pencil. At Best I can give Best Buy kudos for this being that BB's prices on many Apple devices and either Apple or non-Apple accessories has allowed me to save a good amount of $$$ over many years, so there's a flying unicorn covered with purdy glitter somewhere in this whole situation. 5-Stars on the overall experience and how well it works, but I'm reducing the rating to 4-Stars only because Apple should either include the Pencil when purchasing an iPad, or at least offer a decent discount on a Pencil with initial iPad purchase. I realize I will get many negative reactions from this, but this is how I see the reality of the consumer situation when I purchase anything and compare it to the competition.

Easy to use and setup
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Pencil (2nd generation) is a fantastic tool that brings a new level of precision and ease to digital drawing and note-taking. The sleek design and magnetic charging feature are standout improvements over its predecessor. The pencil pairs seamlessly with the iPad, making it incredibly convenient to use right out of the box. The responsiveness and accuracy are top-notch, whether you’re sketching, shading, or simply jotting down notes. The ability to double-tap to switch tools is a game-changer, adding a level of efficiency that’s hard to overlook.

Nice Stylus Pencil but Price a Bit High
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use the Apple Pencil 2nd generation for business note taking almost exclusively though it can be used for substantially more than that from my understanding. My review is based solely on the note taking. It's magnetic charge feature is fantastic. It is also great to hold a pencil that both looks and feels like pencil. It's functionality seems great as well. I really like it. The only reason I don't give it a 5 star rating is it's price. I understand research and development may sometimes be costly but honestly notwithstanding the advancement of this technology $119 plus tax for something with so little in the way of raw materials seems extreme. I have no idea how long this pencil or its battery will last and a few times it has required me to reboot and attach the iPad to get it to recognize and connect to my iPad again. That being said, I did buy it and I am happy with the product. If it lasts 2-3 years without battery or device failure then it may well be worth it but certainly not everyone is not going to shell out that kind of money for such a small device.

Perfect companion to the iPad line
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love using the Apple Pencil with my iPad Pro. It makes scribbling, doodling and writing so much easier. It's just the perfect size and weight and feels natural in hand. In the right app, you can use the pencil tilted for thicker strokes and straighten it for thinner lines. You can also press it down a little harder for denser lines. The applications are many. To charge, just bring it close to the one of the sides of the iPad and it attaches itself to the iPad magnetically and starts charging immediately. That easy! Excellent companion to my iPad.

Works great with new iPad Air
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to use with the latest iPad Air model that now supports the latest Pencil. It connected right away when attached to the side where it charges and attaches magnetically The magnetic attachment is fairly strong and I'm not afraid of it accidentally falling off. The battery life of the pencil is very good and there are many drawing and coloring apps that recognize and support it. One thing I was not expecting is that the Pencil tip is very hard, so when using it for drawing, the surface provides almost no resistance; it definitely feels like you're drawing on glass. Lastly, I'll mention that the size and weight of the pencil feels very good in the hand.

Love it!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially bought this for my daughter who loves to draw on my iPad Pro, but ended up using it mostly myself because it is so great and fun to use. I just tap tap tap away; it’s very precise, holds a charge well, and is a comfortable, familiar grip, just like a real pencil or pen. It makes it easier to use to jot down notes and such (unlike those clumsy ones with rubber tips), and just navigate around the internet. My daughter also reports that it is perfect to use when drawing (she uses the Procreate app). It is so convenient to charge it by simply magnetically clicking it to the side of the iPad, not to mention store it out of the way when not needed. I like having the option to use it or not with my iPad.

Good purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This pencil is great, I like the updated charging. It’s a bit smaller and lighter than the first generation. I’m not sure if it’s meant to be held in a certain way with the new design but I can’t ever seem to hold it where I can easily tap the flat side. This is personal preference but I feel like it’s a bit light, with the first gen I felt like I was actually holding something it felt sturdy and a bit longer but with this new pencil I feel like it can easily slip out of my hand and it sometimes feels like im not holding it. Over all it’s a a good purchase and essential if you draw or write on an iPad

Great for Sketching
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my wife after I’ve been using my own for the past 5 years. She’s loving it. Awesome product that’s extremely responsive, charges fast and the battery lasts a pretty long time. You can treat it like a traditional pencil in that it’s pretty tough but the tip is really sensitive and can get damaged if it falls directly on the tip. If you love sketching then definitely try the Apple Pencil with Paperlike.

Forced to buy with new iPad Air but like better
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No issues with the past Apple Pencil but it doesn’t work with our new iPad Air. Just as easy to use and works great for drawing. Amazing how realistic it is drawing, painting, etc. I do like how it charges on the iPad without a cap and adapter that was problematic trying not to loose the cap or adapter on the original Apple Pencil. This latest version has not loose parts, the pencil just sits on top of the iPad ready for use when needed which ultimately gets used more as a result. Family is happy with this and it gets more use than ever. As with all Apple items they cost you, we got on sale and are happy about that.

The Perfect Tool for Creatives and Professionals
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Pencil 2nd Generation is a game-changer for anyone using an iPad for creative work, note-taking, or productivity. The sleek design and magnetic attachment for charging and storage are incredibly convenient. Its responsiveness and pressure sensitivity make it feel like a real pen, offering an unparalleled drawing and writing experience. The double-tap feature to switch tools is a thoughtful addition that boosts workflow efficiency. It’s an investment, but for artists, students, or professionals, it’s worth every penny. The only drawback is its compatibility limited to certain iPad models, but if your device supports it, it’s a must-have accessory.

Apple Pencil review
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Ipad air for my daughter who is in chiropractic school and this apple pencil and it has been such a hit. The apple pen feels like a regular pencil and I really like how it is only able to connect to your ipad meaning no one elses pen could write on your ipad. It is super light and my daughter likes how you just have to place the pen near the side of the ipad (its magnetic) and that is how it charges which is so much more convenient than having to lug around another charger cord. I highly recommend anyone who purchases an Ipad get an apple pencil as well.

Incredible tool, easily mixed up with other's
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The apple pencil 2 was a huge upgrade from the 1st gen apple pencil. the battery is great, the wireless charging on the side of the ipad does away with the flimsy scary lightning plug, and the pencil is incredibly sensitive. There are things you can do with the pencil that I would never dream you would be able to do on a tablet. The different pressure sensitivities, the ability to use different angles on the tip to get different line styles, and the tap feature allows me to quickly switch between tools to be able to keep working with fewer slow downs. The only gripe would be that they only come in one color, so to be able to tell multiple people's pencils apart you either have to spend money on an aftermarket skin, or deface your property to be able to discern the difference.
